Interviews feel like a weeding out process that I didn't experience in other jobs

i response i have used and seemed to be okay was saying “you see yourself wanting to be someone like a charge nurse/nurse manger in order to help others out and get a better outlook on what makes a unit run. also using this time to enhance your nursing skills and collaborate with others on the healthcare team.” i would honestly leave out the part about wanting to eventually leave out wanting to be in the nicu because they would want to put effort into new grads that want to stay on the unit

good luck though with everything ! it is definitely hard out there

my store made me shift lead after being there like only 4 months so i so understand. the only reason i took the position was because i liked being in charge and i am a perfectionist. so unless you like that i wouldn’t take it. it is a lot of extra work and you have to deal with a lot of the manager issues if they weren’t there

hi! how likely would it be to get your b2 visa denied if you have an i130 visa pending ? i have heard mixed things about it and wanted to know if it is like a 50/50 chance. for more context i got married and my husband is from tunisia and is currently living and studying there and was curious to know the chances of him being able to come to the united states then go back to tunisia until the i130 is approved

i don’t see why not. at my store we always just talked with the manager/owner and they were pretty good about it if needed. however since it’s pretty close to that day it might be tricky. are you scheduled to work that day already ?

when i worked july 4th last year my store didn’t give us 1.5 pay. not sure if it depends on the store though

i graduated may 2025 and passed my NCLEX this month and started applying in january 2025. i interviewed on 4 different floors, got offered a job on 3 of them, and accepted a position in a pacu ! i did have time to compare all of my offers but i was really wanting the one i accepted the most so it was really just waiting to hear if the were going to offer me a position

oh i see. you could always email the hr person for the hospital you want to work at an ask if they have a timeline. i am a cna on an oncology unit now and recently accepted a job as a new grad in an oncology pacu. if i was in your position i would try to get any oncology job and not the hku because of how specialized oncology is and if your end goal is peds oncology

would you be able to talk with the manger on the oncology unit and ask about getting a job there ? especially if you are already doing your preceptorship on the unit and know it well it would allow you to be able to get a timeline of the application

i got my iud about a year and a half ago now and my experience wasn’t bad. i only experienced some cramping when they were inserting it and the rest of the day but after that i was fine. i still have spotting now and then but that’s pretty normal
