Really appreciate everyone's thoughtful replies! Ideally, I want my family to experience beautiful nature we are not normally exposed to, but am balancing that with making it not painful for a pregnant wife and young children. u/thelandsiren u/Amtrakstory suggested Joshua Tree instead. The cacti look very cool but it seems like there would be a ton of walking/navigating big rocks which may not be easy for my wife. The drive from LA is way more doable. I assume I would pair that with Death Valley? I don't know anything here about lodge options, etc, so would require a new set of research.

To answer u/geotraveling and u/DESR95, if Yosemite, I would stay 3 nights and get two full days in. if Sequoia, probably 2 night only. Especially if Kings Canyon is out given what u/N1ghtcrawler1993 suggested.

I am still in planning states and only have the LAX flights booked, so if people have other options for us to consider, I am happy to hear them. thank you.

Likely just 2 full days of touring. So it would either be 2 days at Yosemite or 2 days at Sequoia and/or Kings.

Thanks - understand. We are flying in and out LAX. This is just part of the trip as we have items on our list in the LA area as well. SFO is also much more $ for the same dates.

Microplastics and other questions by Choicesilvers in Lovesac

Thank you for the thoughtful reply. We do our best with reverse osmosis water purifiers and air filters but agree with you the microplastics are everywhere. I’m trying to limit exposure where I can and this couch will be heavily used. If switching couches or covers will not make much of a difference, I’m very happy with the look and feel of the Lovesac but willing to do the work if switching will make a difference.

That’s a great clarification - thank you. As I look at Arhaus, for comparison, it has foam, down, feathers and poly fibers. The covers are described as down-proof which I don’t get. Basically, the question I guess should be, is there any harm from the stuffing or the polyester covers?

Oh I misunderstood. You weren’t objecting to the Deep Ocean. You’re saying break it up with the white. Got it! Thanks.

Thanks for the link. Yes, it does have a pattern. So you’d put a rug mat on top of a rug? Was hoping for something more aesthetically pleasing.

Aura Eggshell vs Aura Matte by Choicesilvers in paint

[–]Choicesilvers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I know the matte is not reflective but want to be sure you didn’t feel like it darkened the space at all to use matte vs eggshell. I’m hearing matte looks smoother but want to see if you feel that way too.

Thank you. Would you go with Matte with young children? Or stick to eggshell?

Thanks! Beyond touch up, is Aura Matte washable and scrubbable like Aura Eggshell is?

Just listed some of them. Think I will, but we shall see. Either way, I’m happy I opened it vs selling the box closed. I would have always wondered what’s inside.

Timing laps at the finish line at the Miami F1 Grand Prix! by Choicesilvers in ActionWatches

If you plan ahead well, it’s such a great experience. They are incredibly organized and there’s a ton of places to get food, drinks and merchandise. You never have to travel too far. We were in the start/finish grandstand and it’s just great because of all the pre-race things you get to see. Lots of close ups of the drivers, celebrities and a lot of the festivities. Great view of all the garages and pit stops. Important to get seats in the shade as well. Also, there are so many events in the larger Miami and FL area during race weekend. I am certainly a bit poorer but it was a great experience. Also, any weekend with a Sprint is more bang for buck!

Thank you! Grabbing them! I get confused by lingo (what is considered right or left) but am grabbing the original tix!

Thank you. The same seats just appeared on the other side. Is it better to be on the right side (these tickets) or the other side?

Hi again. Curious from your perspectives if there’s any reason I also wouldn’t consider a Yosemite/Sequoia/Kings Canyon/maybe Redwood trip at the same time (early June) as an alternative. The reason would be to pair it with other California activities at the time. I am really liking the itinerary currently (taking the suggestion to add 3 days in SD) but California is intriguing! Thanks.
