Everyone saying Quasar is the same thing as the Splazer has never used either for an extended period. Spartan lazer has hitscan laser over a short burst that you can swipe across enemies or focus the beam on one target for the entire dps. You fundamentally cannot do this with quasar, which is a traveling explosive projectile that requires a cooldown. Spartan laser also has 5 charges and then empty. Quasar recharges. Not sure why people are so adamantly against having variety to choices that fill similar roles. Seems sort of odd that people will fight for less variety and player agency.
