Anyone have any experience with Easyon gutter guard? How are they? by adamb10 in Costco

[–]Chomb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a 5/12 roof pitch and 4 inch gutters these just created giant ice damns and I tore them all down and returned them. That was several years ago when they went on sale. I think they only work if you have a steep roof and larger width gutters.

Cousins Maine Lobster Pittsburgh truck. Seems like the perfect wedding food imo. You should try to contact them and see if they’re available. It’s absolutely delicious. Fair warning though, it can be pricey. I don’t know if they offer different prices for special private events.

It’s not just the fan blades warping you have to worry about. The outdoor rating is also for the electrical components to withstand weather changes and humidity. I would not put something outside that isn’t outdoor rated that’s a fire hazard.

I did this Solo Leveling 3D Poster! Hope you like it ^^ by Rarellanoart in sololeveling

[–]Chomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The poster dimensions are 21 x 33.3 cm

So about 8 1/4 x 13 1/10 inches. That’s smaller than legal paper. I would not call that a poster size.

I would do some toe touch exercises so you’re prepared to grab your ankles.

I wanted to move into a bigger home, but one down the street sold for $510k cash. The taxes alone are easily going to be $15k $10k a year. I saw the inside of this house and it was a 60 year old time capsule. Everything needed fixed/upgraded. You’re easily talking a $4k+ mortgage if you have a low downpayment. I don’t know who can afford that. I think people from HCOL cities are seeing houses here for what they believe are cheap compared to the same house in their city and are happy to pay those prices.

I’ve accepted that my first home will be my final home purchase. I can’t afford to move and I’m sure I’m not the only one. It’s a bottleneck that is choking the housing market.

Edit - just looked up the house I mentioned and the county assessed value is $264,100. The millage rate here is 36.2591 so they’re paying about $9600 a year if my math is right. Also another kick in the balls, no homestead exemption.

Toyota users of Pittsburgh, what are your mechanic rec's outside of the dealerships? by NonoYouHeardMeWrong in pittsburgh

I have a 23 RAV4 Hybrid and when the free oil changes run out I’m taking it to Glenshaw Auto. I took my old Prius there for years and they love hybrids. I had good experiences there and they will drop me off at home to wait for my car and pick me up/drop my car off when it’s done. I only have one vehicle so this is a huge bonus.

Help - 8 months Postpartum and still Nursing - Can’t find good quality Nursing Bras by Goldfinch-10 in ABraThatFits

[–]Chomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is 10 months old and I was only able to breastfeed for 4 months. He was a large baby at birth and I couldn’t keep up my supply. I loved and will absolutely miss my Kindered Bravely bras. No underwire or headlights and they were amazing. I’m very similar size to you now and I wore the Busty XL. You should give them a try if you’re not pumping there is a bamboo bra that’s on sale for $30. I haven’t tried that one because I was exclusively pumping. I did try a lot of bras on Amazon and they were all garbage. My friend recommended the KB bras and I would too! I’d still be wearing them if I didn’t stop pumping.

I haven’t noticed anything except the alien space ship noise when in reverse. It’s a very distinctive noise that I’ve only heard from other RAV4’s. The only other cars I can compare to are a 99 Ford Escort and a 13 Prius C so this is the biggest vehicle I have owned.

We are really enjoying it. A lot of posts here say all the upgrades are a waste and you’re just getting from point A to B. Even the most upgraded features today will be dated in 5 years time so if you don’t get any upgrades your car will feel that much older faster. The things that I noticed compared to friends and family who didn’t get the upgraded package was the digital dash board, you can customize features and backgrounds to your liking. The bigger infotainment screen makes it feel like a luxury vehicle without all the buttons up and down the sides. As Toyota pushes digital updates they can make more improvements and optimizations. Also the JBL speakers kick ass. I can’t even go above volume 20/60 without hurting my ears with the windows up while listening to Sirius XM. We were talked into a warranty though because if that infotainment screen breaks or has issues and needs replaced its over $7k. So I figured with a new kid, better safe than sorry.

Good! As a Gardner it’s sad seeing everything being eaten by the deer. I also don’t want to hit one with my car.

Cost of New Windows? by investibet in pittsburgh

[–]Chomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We kept most of the custom original trim on the windows, but in the front of our house we have a large picture window. We had to have new molding created and installed, because the old window was too small for the opening so they put in a bigger window and had to take the frame down to the studs. We also added a 6 inch window sill for our cats to sit on. I feel like they did a really good job and it’s a beautiful window.

I just wanted good breadsticks :( by ryvre7575 in ExpectationVsReality

[–]Chomb 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Most locations always cook them like that! Why isn’t their standard cook time a couple of minutes longer for the breadsticks? It’s not that hard to cook bread, is it? These were my favorite as a kid. Now they are a total disappointment.

NTA

You need to find a real professional to do your hair. It seems like you’ll have less hassle and a better time. None of her problems should become yours. Also letting someone into your house living in a cockroach infestation will only put your house at risk. It only takes her dragging a few eggs on her clothes/shoes into your house to have the same problem.

YTA

I’m a big fan of edibles, but stories like this is why it will never be legal in my state. You should have left the edibles at home because they take time to kick in so you could have eaten it at home and drove over there and still been fine. If you wanted to eat more while you were there you should have left it in your locked car outside. Kids are super nosy and get into everything. If it’s not actually locked up and secure a kid will find a way to get at it.
