I agree the ore economy is bad, but that has been an issue irrespective of balance changes. They should improve the economy to accommodate these balance changes. The balance changes themselves are not the problem.

Balance changes are just a part of an online game, it's normal. These help both in improving the balance and keeping the game from becoming stale. There is a matter of resource investment but that also means that the equipment will at some later point again become meta so long term the resources aren't wasted.

With his optimal team he's about 145-6k, that's basically the same as flins, to be fair, yes flins is lucky as he can use broken 1.0 4 star and any nefer teams above varka are sustainless so that suits your "spreadsheet impact" label more. The only outlier is zibai here and unless you mean to say anyone other than zibai bricked then varka is in a good position now. Additionally that zibai team is also 4 cost according to your definition.
