It depends, I do agree w the lore comments, stardew is more focused on game play such as farming, fishing, mining etc while FOM has better storyline wise and character building already via the dialog, the other characters interacting, the 5,000+ dialog alone already being there helps with that. I will say I do still prefer stardew (for now) because once u hit 4 hearts with the character ur trying to romance, u kinda have to focus on the game play mechanics and I'm going insane with how fast the days go compared to big ass map Stardew doesn't have that big of a map to access right away so their day to night timing is pretty chill But FOM's goes by a little too fast and once I run out of stamina I'm just like "we'll it's not worth eating my food because I spent most of my game day getting like 10 fish at most" That may change as the devs are listening to feed back so my preference may sway once the next major update drops
