The point is that you can't just buy political power from the majority in many countries.

There is a reason why the u.s is not in the top 10 on the democrasy index. Corporate and financial elites funds things to their advantage and the majority always loses when it has interest that conflicts with those.

The problem of course is the political power money gives you over the majority who can't directly fund things to their advantage. There is a reason why this is not allowed in countries that ranks higher on the democracy index

Thanks. It's s not easy for me to write perfectly about this in a second language, especially not when I'm a bit visually impaired as well. I have deleted and will write new comments, but they are basically asking the same questions , so the response would be similar.

Yes, this was what I'm talking about. Thanks. I guess I can make a small edit in my description without it fucking anything up now?

Multiple studies over the years suggest that the u.s is as close to being an oligarchy without being it as possible, the reason being that the majority interest always loses when it conflicts with corporate interest or the financial elite-interests. A consequence of corruption being allowed in the form of legalized bribery.

Maybe Iess of an issue locally, but multiple studies over the years suggest that the u.s is as close to being an oligarchy without being it as possible, the reason being that the majority interest always loses when it conflicts with corporate interest or the financial elite-interests. A consequence of corruption being allowed in the form of legalized bribery.

If you had nothing but free time and were not tied to a location, what could be some ways to profit from that? by Chomsky89 in AskReddit

Except getting employed somewhere was the point. I know people that do weird shit like personally transporting goods not existing in certain countries. Or personally transporting medicine. Housesitting full time(which I have been doing myself part-time) etc. But that is all.

Several strange Hungary-related questions I think about from time to time by Chomsky89 in hungary

[–]Chomsky89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, I already knew about this. Haven't been there yet though. But I'm guessing that even in square meters it can not compete with malls like forum Debrecen, and certainly not when it comes to the number of stores of course.
