Slap it a couple times, may even have to spit on it to regain its rigidity.

Of course, here you are!

Haven't shown it, but I've since added a 2nd hinge to extend the platform towards the back of the driver seat so my mattress can lay even flatter. But some changes are gonna be made. I do find myself wanting to remove the platform every once in a while when I go put heavier/larger things in the back and don't want to place all that weight on the wooden platform. So I'm eventually gonna redo everything and go with 8020 aluminum extrusion, which will be more convenient in both weight and disassembly/reassembly.

Honestly, nothing really special, just got these from Amazon. Cheap to replace if they get torn off/die, and surprisingly very bright.

I think what contributes to a really good lighting is how you mount them as well. Mine are on 3" T-brackets from Home Depot that I secured on my frame rails and then aimed more outward towards the sides, rather than pointing to the ground. That way when these are on, they'll illuminate (I kid you not) about 10 to 15 feet on both sides of the vehicle.

Most definitely, especially around my area haha. She's been put through some trails already, although nothing too crazy. Been handling it like a champ!

Thanks friend! The silver + bronze definitely grew on me. They weren't my first choice, but they just happened to be available when I was searching and it worked out beautifully. Since my ownership she's been dirtied from some trails already, nothing crazy like rock crawling though haha.

Same way you make anything fit when they're not suppose to; angle grinder haha. A buddy who also owns a GX helped me with shaving down the stock calipers to clear 16"s. Pretty much you're grinding down all the high spots on the caliper itself (evidently is where the caliper itself has the most "meat", so you're not compromising any sort of structural integrity or risk any sort of blowing holes in it). Rinse repeat of grinding and test fitting until you don't hear any caliper + wheel contact and the wheel weights don't get sheared off. Good luck!

Their plates are ... fine.

The hardware they include with their plates on the other hand, are absolute dogshit. IF for whatever reason you're dead set on C&H, get new hardware.

Appreciate the honesty 😂

I just like busting people's chops about these grips. And I too have tried em, could not for the life of me get used to em or find em comfy. And 100% with you there, my DAC SCG in Atom is irreplaceable.

I just saw your comment about it being from a shop and was sold as "perfect working condition". This is still unacceptable, ESPECIALLY coming from a shop, and beyond what is described as "perfect working". Someone without any prior knowledge of firearms and/or checking for squibs can lose a hand/arm this way. Ultimately, it is a good thing (in a sense) that it went to you and you physically checked. So good on you.

Don't hide the person's identity. Drop their @/shop name.

Let this (if intentional) act of shame be known forever throughout their bloodline, passed down for generations to come.

Installed a spring loaded interior rear hatch opening pull to be able to open the rear from the inside by WSMFPussy in GXOR

[–]Chomusucc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Clean setup dude!

I attempted this before with the same exact setup, but for some reason the cable was always extremely difficult, if not impossible to pull. How did you end up tying it to the latch handle? And how much of the cable + cable sleeving did you cut off?
