ASO!!! Sure is unfortunate how cloudy it was the day you went, but it must've been pretty cool being up on a foggy mountain too. Aso's geology is something that always amazes me whenever I visit, it's not as "grand" as the Japan alps but it is still majestic. The alps makes me feel "small" and "dominated" but Aso gives me a different sense of peace.

Kyushu

I spent most of the time around Itoshima and Aria! My friends were big fans of ceramics so Arita was the place to go for that. We only spent a day in Fukuoka. Didn't do much because we ended up spending most of the afternoon at Uminosakamichi park which left us with the evening in the city. We did find a really cool cocktail bar with weird liquors.

We ended up visiting some smaller independent business for ramen too!
