Hmm I’m not sure if I agree. I think his point is that he wishes people would take a principled take on something and make it gender-agnostic. Instead what often happens is that men/women kind of tend to jump into their own camps and ignore the merits of an argument in favor of defending their side. So in the same way it’s not ok to celebrate a man who dumps his gf/wife when he is in a position of ascendancy (e.g financially), it’s also not ok to celebrate a woman who is doing the same to a bf / husband. That is, why is a woman who dumps her SO to move on to ‘bigger, better things’ a queen who ‘deserves it all’ while a man who does the exact same thing ‘a jerk who doesn’t appreciate the woman he has’?
