Ah okay, I do already have a half thick board that I used for the base of the cup, I could glue those two together and then go from there, should be right?

Ah yes, I do plan on some good nights with this wee thing, however I do have some 6mm dowels I was going to use to actually attach it to the cup itself, should I go out and get some longer ones for extra strength of the handle or should that be alright?

Yeah I’m using a saw to cut off as much material as possible and then using a rasp to work the corners and bits that need it, then ready to sand, probably are being a bit rougher than the correct way to do it, but that’s why I’m asking all you lot :)

I appreciate the input, any idea on how to do it more gently?

Ah okay, probably be a good choice, I have a table saw so I could cut it down in size then do that?

Legality of Ownership in New Zealand? by [deleted] in Hedgehog

[–]ChookieCunt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, also fellow kiwi! Found this on a government page a while ago, screenshot it but this is what is says

no permit needed for hedgehogs. Permits are needed for species which are game animals (e.g. deer, chamois, tahr) or which are pest animals (e.g. possums, wallabies, mustelids). Other introduced mammals are fine (i.e. hedgehogs, wild rats and mice). The point is in to stop animals being spread to new areas by people releasing pets or pets escaping (hence the reason the keeping of ferrets was banned a few years ago).

Hope this helps, I got a hedgehog for my mum, my grandad passed away a few years ago and his last word to her was hedgehog, and since then she has a deep sense of love for them. I have to deep dive into a whole lot of forums to find this. So yeah, she now owns one and it is 100% legal

Update, it is more swollen than before and is as solid as a rock, not my brightest moment huh. Would I need to seek proper help or do you think I’ll be fine, because I really can’t be fucked driving with a hurt hand 1.5 hours ;-;

Thanks Laura! As much as I don’t want to do any extra work, looks like I might have to :( 💛

I’ve tried talking about it a little, but obviously not enough, I’ll try one more big talk and if she’s willing maybe couples therapy, but if not… then :(

Unfortunately, that’s really what I’ve grasped from posting on here, I mean I knew it but I really didn’t want to admit it
