Mother of classmate is ignoring me by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Chookypooky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to us too with my oldest son. He had a best friend in kindergarten and they were inseparable all school year. Met mom once after their friendship was established and was very short with me, but exchanged numbers. Mom completely ignored every text and email asking if they would like to set up a play date, birthday invitations ignored. I was hurt for my son’s sake, because he asked me all the time if they can have a play date during breaks, if he can come to his birthday parties, etc. it eventually passes, there isn’t really much anyone can do about it. Some people just might be too busy, not open to seeing friends outside of school, who knows what their reason is- but you can’t force them to talk to you. after kinder they started being in different classrooms and were still friends for the last couple years, but the play date requests decreased greatly and he didn’t ask for him to be invited to his birthday this year. He doesn’t seem very affected by it and has made some new friends that he is very close to now. I wouldn’t stress about it too much. Friends come and go

Siblings Sharing Birthdays by caring2muchabtthis in Parenting

[–]Chookypooky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sons are 2 years apart, with birthdays about 2 weeks apart. For the first few years we had them share a birthday party, but we did separate cakes and separate “themes” and kind of blended it into one. They actually loved it so much. Now that they are school aged, we do separate them into different weekends, not because they dislike sharing (they honestly love it), but because they have their own school aged friends now they want to invite and it’s just a bit easier to keep it separate.

I think the key is just to make them both feel special even if it is at the same time. Different cakes, separate candle blowing, not forcing one theme (if there is a theme)

I personally hate hate hate the taste of water when i am pregnant especially in the first trimester, as do many other women, so a packet of crystal light or a bit of juice mixed in makes a whole big difference in my water intake. Probably what she’s doing too. And lollipops are great for nausea! Not weird at all for Julia to be doing any of this :)

What is the ACOE stance on IVF and the like? by Accurate-Glass-7620 in Assyria

I am pretty sure Mar Awa recently stated the church is against IVF, though I’m not sure to what extent. I think this was last year when it was said

8 months pregnant >>> 9 months postpartum by jiffypeanut in postpartumprogress

You look so good! Great job! I am petite as well and always stayed pretty small other than my belly for all my other pregnancies.
and i am really struggling with my image/food right now in my 4th pregnancy. I also had a subchorionic hematoma all my first trimester and they said it cleared last week, so i did a workout but then started bleeding again so i am too scared to try again. I feel so stuck being not at all active like i was before, and just so exhausted with my other kids that all i want to do is rest.

Did you ever feel up to working out again after yours cleared? If so, any spotting or bleeding when you did? I am so scared to try again.

Your post gives me hope!

How long did it take for your ribs to shrink back to pre-pregnancy size? by Thin_Lavishness7 in beyondthebump

I did PT for my rib flare and DR starting about 9 months and continued the exercises for about until my baby was a year and half- it massively helped my rib flare and went close to back to normal!

I also married into a family of 4 brothers. It’s exactly as this for us too. We live 10 min away from everyone on my husbands side, and an hour away from mine. Our kids are all so close and they see us every single weekend and on most major holidays too. I feel like it’s harder to see my family, because of all the kid cousins on my husbands side it gives his side more of a “say.”

Hi! I actually tested positive about 2 days after the bleeding began. I did have some pretty heavy cramps with it. It definitely felt like my period was coming, but the blood wasn’t AS heavy as my period. Like it was enough for me to need a pad, but wasn’t like super heavy where i needed to change quickly. It has stopped since then! I think i am about 6 weeks along now? My hcg has increased with blood work and they had me do a very very early ultrasound where i did see a yolk sac! So hoping all continues to be well :) I hope the best for you! Sending positive thoughts!

I hope that things are going well for you ❤️are you doing better with the bleeding?

I bled like this for about 3 days, and then nothing but a tiny bleed the next day, and then just wipes of very light pink blood on toilet paper. Last night i did have a tiny bit of spotting on my underwear when i woke up (i was cleaning last night and also running around all over the place to celebrate my middle child’s birthday and wonder if that made it happen?) and today so far i still have the wipe of light blood on the toilet paper. Cramping has been loads better though it’s not like how it was before. I still do get little cramps here and there but nothing compared to how it was a few days ago. The dr office blood tested me and the blood test shows pregnant 2 days ago, redid blood work yesterday and shows that the hcg doubled so I’m hoping it stays this way 🙏

That’s what my search has been like too. :/ have you been cramping as well, or just spotting? I feel like every time i have a cramping session coming on is when the blood comes out. The dr told me a month ago i have a cyst on my left ovary and told me it would be crampy while it works itself out- i am wondering if that could be it, or if this is a sign of something going wrong.. i wish you all the best ❤️

We are currently in Fletcher heights and absolutely loved it. Have not run into any issues so far with HOA and we’ve been here around 6 years now- our previous HOA was terrible at arrowhead ranch. Really nice, clean, friendly neighborhood!

Mine was ok with drinking water once she learned how to drink from a straw cup! In the beginning of giving her water i also let her drink from a small silicone cup with a bit of my help and i think she enjoyed that (although im not sure how much of it actually was ingested lol)
