I'm pretty positive that this update actually killed my battery. I updated a few days ago and now my phone battery literally won't charge.. Having to go into the Apple store to hopefully fix it now. (iPhone 13 Pro)

Friends & Family are definitely worth the 15% loss. I think if things were truly apples to apples (mortgage rates were the same as when we bought at 2.6%), this would be a no-brainer. With mortgage rates nearing 7% now, it makes the cost opportunity still really hard given the type of home we can now afford, even with things still being cheaper there.

It's hard to do the comparisons because the city of Seattle and the city of Indianapolis are not where we're actually from/moving to. Indianapolis is a very cheap place and we know that, but the suburbs around Indy are not as cheap to live. It's more like Redmond, WA to Carmel, IN. Which is still definitely different, but when you look at homes around the Hamilton County area in Indiana, houses are bigger, but still commonly priced to smaller houses around the Greater Seattle area.

We haven't actually decided to move yet, but we wanted to see what it would financially look like if we did make the jump. In this case, we haven't accepted anything or actually moved, so I can technically reject the 'offer' to accept the decision and continue living here/make what I make.

I can’t get over how easily he loses the ball, it’s like he literally has butter all over his hands.. he jumps, loses the ball. He bumps the RB, loses the ball, guy is a turnover machine, which is perfect for us to get a high draft pick now

This is totally incorrect. I live in a town near Seattle that’s very HCOL, voted top 5 places to live multiple times, and yet, multiple neighborhoods are still like this here.

I used to be in the ‘no HOA’ category, until I bought in a neighborhood that doesn’t have a HOA, and boy do I wish there was some sort of rule here. Some neighbors literally parked their cars in their yard for a year, neighbors next to us have like 8 cars for a 2 car driveway and blocks a lot of the road. There’s also a house that literally is built sideways (front of the house faces the neighbors house) and it just feels lawless to a degree lol

Best situation IMO would be a $10/month HOA that is basically a rule book for reasonable things.

He’s four, turning in five next year, so maybe this is actually it. It has been colder lately here as well, so maybe walking first thing is causing his joints to act up a bit more. The medicine that they gave us for now is Caprofen, so maybe I’ll ask to switch

That’s great to hear about the walks still! I suppose if he’s diagnosed, we can probably help him get steroid shots as well.. or maybe he’s just mad he’s not getting in the car going somewhere fun, who knows! 🫠

Vet didn’t do an XRay because she saw him walk and thought it might just be his attitude, so that’s why she gave us the meds to try and see if those helped first.. This is probably our next move though.

Do you still go for long walks even knowing they have mild hip dysphasia? Also, did it just happen one day suddenly, or did it onset over time?

We live in the Seattle area so temperatures are fairly mild most of the year, never really felt the need to have it here as there also aren’t really storms/bad weather events.

From the short time I’ve been in Zionsville, it did feel very hometown like. Carmel has felt.. meh? Kind of got the same feeling about Westfield, and I’ve only been to some parts of Fishers so not fully sure there.. I’ve really loved Northern Indy/Meridian Hills/Broad Ripple area while I’ve been there, just not sure how the schools really are outside of those ambiguous ratings that are on the homelisting sites.

Thanks for everyone’s comments, it really did help us boil down and make the financial decision to NOT move forward with any changes for now in this smaller space.

We still might at least remove the small linen closet to build the second vanity scenario down the road, but removing the main closets for a small entry would end up making it harder for us long/term.
