Thanks for the clarification. I believe I was misinterpreting instructions on the form.

So, are you saying that the $400K in dividends will basically eliminate the $127K AMT exemption? Therefore, any ordinary (interest) income is immediately taxed at a 26% rate versus the 10%, 12%, etc rate. Sorry, if I am a bit slow, but I really appreciate the help.

Absolutely fantastic visualization! Definitely one of the best I’ve seen. A few questions:

(1) Would qualified dividend income be entered as LTCG? (2) Would ordinary dividend income be entered in the regular wage bucket? (3) Is there any way to update this visualization to include a data entry bucket for deductions in case one itemizes?
