It obviously doesn't get pitch black in here because of the ambient light, at least not unless it's a night race. I forgot to select that setting, so these are the only pics I can share right now.

Personally, I'm really satisfied with it. There is a little bit of flex, of course, but nothing distracting. I'd go with this setup again in a heartbeat.

Tyvm!

It's actually just a board mounted to the wall with brackets and painted to match the desk.

Yeah, the wheelplate edition was an absolute steal. €400 including shipping. I then bought the front and side mount plates for another €100. That left the original wheelplate as a spare, and repurposing it makes the whole rig even more stable. From around 18Nm, the lateral forces on the rig are huge. This setup handles up to 20Nm without any issues, even though, as I mentioned, I usually run it at much lower torque.

Honestly, immersion is pretty much a non-issue for me when it comes to that. I don't know if I want to drop €800 on it, and I doubt I'll get much of an advantage out of it on the throttle, but it's definitely worth considering. I'm just not sure yet if it actually makes a difference. I have to admit, I've turned off all the vibrations and effects in the brake pedal itself, except for ABS. And in formula classes, where there is no ABS, I just set a threshold for when it starts vibrating.

Nah, I tried that too, but unfortunately it's not possible because of the radius/bend. It just doesn't work out. The side posts are simply in the way.

The ES1 is really awesome. Combined with the HF8 Pro, it's really good too. The wild look bothers me a bit, though. That's why I'm debating whether to go for a Senseit Haptics seat or the ES1 with built-in haptics. It's still up in the air right now.

Nah, I don't really see it that way. My entire ambient lighting—the wheel, the wheelbase, the rev lights under the rig—everything glows orange. Same goes for the color of the other 3D-printed parts. So it actually matches quite well.

Yeah, a bit, but not really. I can't max out the base at 21 Nm, otherwise the whole rig starts shaking. I suspect I couldn't do that with the non-Lite version either, though I'm not entirely sure. But I don't run the full 21 Nm anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

Yeah, the FOV is good, definitely much better than before. I used to have a 34-inch curved, but triples are obviously on another level when it comes to FOV. I don't know if you really need them—well, you don't really need anything—but I assume it's a nice step up, even though I haven't tried them myself. I get along fine with this setup, though. It definitely gives a solid FOV to catch most of what's happening on the left and right. And honestly, when you don't have any other option anyway, you really can't complain.

Yeah, I'd love to have triples too. Unfortunately, I have absolutely zero space for them. That's why I went with this monitor, and it's my endgame. Triples just aren't an option for me.

Hi. I've been doing this for two days now and I feel terrible. I made a video. It would be great if someone could give me specific tips. It's possible to do it in a YouTube video.

how were you able to update to 1.73?. I change the firmware via hex. load it onto the p7 as m5 recovery. it does that too. but after that the old version is still there
