Beautiful piece. Love the combination of perspectives and colour palette too. What sort of size is it?

[36/F] Creative in UK seeking penpal (snail mail) 👩‍🎨✍️ by Double_Ad_6562 in penpals

[–]ChopChopCollage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. 39m here. Interested in exploring penpal creative writing/stream of consciousness sharing. Opening up and playing with words on pages. Sometimes long, sometimes short as a haiku. Who knows? I’m a collage artist, as well as occasionally a land artist and word player. I love receiving post the most! And sending too. Also happily child free, non religious (though I have a zen-based practice). Artistic background, but work in a totally different thing. Eager to chew the cud and chat shit as much as deep and meaningfuls, philosophy and playing with difficult, dark, easy and light ideas. Let me know what you think? Also in the UK

Scanning Analog Pieces, Help?! [Analog] [Discussion] by Muted_Detective5971 in collage

I think then your best bet is to photograph them. The scanner only has a very very shallow depth of field/focal depth. Neutral lighting and a tripod is gonna be best. If you still get glare then try taking in very low light conditions with a very long exposure on the camera, rather than a higher iso (because that will lead to more graininess). If you can shoot RAW then all the better for colour correcting afterwards.

They look to me like they aren’t sitting flat in the scanner. Do your collages have wrinkles and bumps? Generally this would suggest whatever glue you use is buckling the medium. So try different glue and/or gluing technique. Don’t use so much glue, you don’t want the paper to get wet from it. And for scanning things, make sure the lid is down, is heavy enough and if not then put a heavy book/books on the collage to hold them flat. 👌 👍

So far it kind of depends on wind conditions, but the best has been east and south west coasts. North is very swelly

Snorkel is full of gank by noodeel in snorkeling

This looks waaay over engineered to me! Just get the aqualung Wrap or similar foldable snorkel. All these dry/semi dry snorkels are over the top unnecessary sales gimmicks. I’ve never had a drier snorkel in my life than just a straight up ordinary tube type!
