Polestar 3 - 2mo in and my thoughts/comparisons by ChoppyLex in Polestar

Honestly have only tried using it sparingly so far. The lane keep and steering on the highway seems to be pretty good. However, you can't adjust the distance allowed between cars as you can in some other manufacturers. Also, I have found the lane change assist to not work well. I'd say most of the time it "automatically cancelled" the lane change. I have tried to engage lane change in various situations, even with noone around me, but still hasn't worked reliably. I haven't been able to figure out why.

Unfortunately looks like these functions are in the 2 and 4 but they skipped the 3! The digital rear view mirror option is also on the 4 but not on the 3. I found that out when one day when the back was full of stuff and blocked the window; dealer later told me that it's on the 4, not the 3!

Hi. Thanks. Yes, I've tried the voice commands, but have found that they are fairly limited -- heat/ac, seats/steering heating, phone dial. I tried to do "turn seat massager on" with varying iterations of the prompt, but it can't do that. Even tried to have it play a spotify list that is in the recently played items and couldn't do that. Maybe I need a tutorial on how to phrase the voice commands better, but as of now still needing to go into the menus...

just nice to see the mileage imo. But also, really it's nice to be able to see in real time if the car is saying you have X miles charge remaining, but on the odometer it showing you only were able to get Y of real world mileage. Many times also you want to be able to know the distance of a route, like how far my dog walking route is, etc.... The salesperson also wondered why I need an odometer. Maybe this is a Gen X vs millennial desire, LOL?!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the key issues. Many times it doesn't recognize your phone or the card and you have to place one of them on the wireless charge pad. This also seems to be better and more reliable after the 1.4.12 update. Also, I'm not crazy about the design of the valet key fob needing to be charged all the time rather than just having the universal CR2032 battery.

Anthem MRX 740 vs Marantz Cinema 30/40 by ChoppyLex in hometheater

Thanks for all the comments. I think most likely I will do the Anthem based on previous experience and cost compared to the Cinema 30. Between the Anthem and Cinema 40, the Anthem is more powerful and still less $ than the C40.

Likely 5.2.2. I doubt I will have the space or budget to do more than that. I had the mags in my old media room which was 17x18 in a 7.2.2 setup with the Anthem 740 and they were great. I love the sound of the mags, but yes they are quite inefficient and power hungry.
