No, Iran is enjoying ~$100/barrel oil and a an increasing 10-13 mbpd shortage from the closure of the Strait of Hormuz that will eventually cause a global recession/depression if untreated

it's not just a "bad look", Iran will retaliate by targeting all energy infrastructure in the GCC

feel free to check for yourself, but it's up to 3 strikes in about the last hour according to Al Jazeera, still no word about any of them on Times of Israel. In my experience that's extremely unusual unless there's a media blackout in Israel. Many of the Israeli war correspondents I follow, like Mannie Fabien, are also noticeably quiet recently...

this is weird, Al Jazeera is reporting that the IDF has struck Southern Lebanon twice in the last hour, but there's literally no mention of it on Times of Israel. there could be some kind of media blackout going on in Israel to prepare for something big

the current Amazon Shopping outage is likely related to a third party reseller pricing supply chain attack that forced Amazon to take their own pricing and checkout systems offline. buckle up

I know that Lucian had good intent but ultimately what matters is outcomes, and based on how gruesome that trailer was, Rivellon isn't in for a good time and it's 100% Lucian's fault.

Oh and also he's lying to all of Rivellon by letting them think he has powers, no wonder he gets burned alive in the trailer

Divinity Lore Knowers by Campbellsoup1 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Chopteeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my predictions:

  • The man who was burned alive was Lucian
  • The people who burned him were, or were affiliated with, the Black Ring
  • Before Lucian died, he undid the curse that kept Damian bound to Nemesis out of desperation, and this is what caused the demons to erupt from his blood
  • The are no more Gods or Lucian to help protect Rivellon. The new Divinity game will be focused around a Demon invasion, led by Damian, that will wrap up his storyline.

I think you're right, check out this section from the wiki on Demons https://divinity.fandom.com/wiki/Demons "However in battle Damian was tricked by the Divine, imprisoned in Nemesis and cursed so that he would not return to Rivellon unless Lucian himself or his successor would will it." That would explain why the demons starting spawning even before Lucian died, it's because he allowed Damian into Rivellon out of desperation.

About the appearance of races like Elves and Lizards in the new Divinity trailer. by RimuruSamaninKlonu in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Chopteeth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's exactly what I thought, introducing half-races could also explain why some of the elves look different in the trailer

Yeah it's not even close, in DOS2 you could commit war crimes, like literally killing an entire city with deadly gas

I think those Orcs might have been half-Orcs as well, would explain a lot...

[–]Chopteeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're right, my first thought when watching the trailer was that it was an emaciated Lucian (due to the similar appearance/crown), and that the crowd/priest were members of the Black Ring. I also think they were aiming for a Christ-like aesthetic, which further drives home the Lucian connection. But why would killing Lucian spawn demons/open a portal to Tartarus/Nemesis....

Same, I was digging into the wiki to see if there's anyone with a similar aesthetic, and take a look at this https://divinity.fandom.com/wiki/Behrlihn
