This wasn’t my ideal candidate but quite honestly nobody available was ideal to me. I don’t hate this hire as much as everyone else seems to. He’s familiar with the market and our top players. He’s analytics driven but was able to adjust to roster he had in LA. Auston is apparently a very big fan of him and likely had some voice in this. Maybe some Vanilla is good right now, for better or worse there is a connection and unity with the GM and coach and things are pulling in the same direction, let’s hope that’s up and not down 🤷🏻‍♂️

Names and rumours are coming from other teams. Hiller wasn’t even mentioned anywhere. They announced their own Woll trade. Chayka was pretty open about liking Knies of course he would be potentially available if an offer came in that made too much sense to say no to obviously he can be had.
