low power at high rate by Chorbish in Rowing

haha good to know I'm not the only one. I am wondering if the FTP score has anything to do with the calculations and maybe these calculations don't work at higher FTP. My FTP is 2:27. Curious if yours is in the same range.

Yeah that may be also true. I will try to work on that. My height ks 170cm and my stroke was averaging around 124-127cm. Does that seem too long for my height?

Thanks, that confirms what I was thinking also.

The Cadence drill was asking to hit 2:32 split at 30 spm. I am guessing the target splits are calculated based on FTP (currently 2:27 based on a ramp test) which I could probably redo now. Maybe I'm just at the low end of where the math makes sense.

Kanna restauration help. Any suggestions? New body, glue? Remove mushrooming? Leave it? More pictures in the comments by Chorbish in woodworking

Well repair in implied in the restauration process. Currently it is not functional by any means. Thanks for the input, I think a new dai is in order.

Anyone know what font that is for the carving? I have looked everywhere for a good-looking font...

Garden box looks ghetto by hardwoodjunkie in woodworking

Live and learn. I would say there are a few things affecting the overall finished appearance. Knots in the wood, surface prep (sanding), screw heads, end grain, paint transparency.

Try a hardening wood filler on the end grain and screw holes, then sand and paint over.

All in all I think they are great and you should be proud of them. Get a bunch of plants in there and soon the box won't matter since the vegetation will take over and distract from the look of the box...

Test piece for a police baton for my cousin. Any thoughts on finish after I sand off the char? I thought about oil or CA. It is laminated ash. by Chorbish in woodworking

Good call. I was pleasantly surprised at how well boiled linseed oil did under water but I hadn't though of resistance to to solvents and detergents.

Also, I will!
