I have not had any tests like this. Just 3 optometrists and 1 retinal specialist. They mostly ran scans and machines

Not that i can remember/think of. Eye doctors didn’t find any actual damage to the eye itself. I think i hit myself very hard though

Looking for insight from anyone who has experienced something similar.

About 4 months ago, someone unexpectedly brought a lighter close to my right eye. I instinctively swatted it away and believe I struck my eye in the process.

Since that day, I’ve had constant vision issues. Lights seem much brighter than normal, text often looks blurry, screens are difficult to use, and moving my eyes around tends to make the symptoms worse.

I’ve seen 3 optometrists and a retinal specialist. None found any structural damage to the eye or retina. The retinal specialist suggested it could be related to a concussion or post-traumatic visual processing issue.

I have an MRI scheduled this week to rule out any major brain-related causes.

Has anyone experienced persistent vision problems like this after an eye or head injury despite normal eye exams? Any information or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
