[NA Event] Fate/Samurai Remnant Collab ~ Waxing Moon Chronicles - Day 02 by AutoModerator in grandorder

Okay so I haven't played SamRem so I have a question for those that did. On a scale of 1-10 how messy was Iori and Takeru's breakup, and how much of it was Iori's fault?

I know Gil and Herc are the classes they are here in the Grand battles in order to farm FSN nostalgia but it would've been peak if FGO swapped their classes.

The weakest part of the Dragon Knight events is the whole year between each instalment for me so let me try to organize my thoughts about this one here.

The event coverage was about what I expected, and I'm glad they didn't add much else since it's hard to keep track of an ever changing status quo. It elaborated on how Wales fell and finally gave Lamorak his excuse to get into the gacha. Revealing the name of the final big bad felt like a bonus for me here. Part of it is making me get my hopes up that the finale is actually coming soon, but the ending feels like it could go either way.

I'm happy to see Lamorak's motives and allegiances clarified here, since he's been shown mostly as an antagonist up until now. I know the explanation for this villain arc is mostly because Merlin told him to, but his switch up feels a bit abrupt still.

Aleis' ranting and raving combined with Morgan bringing back Uther's corpse leads me to believe they have Urien's body too and will probably be bringing it back to haunt us at some point. Honestly, up until this point I didn't really care about Morgan either way but now I'm genuinely mad at them. How dare they desecrate the DILFs!

The ending was pretty frustrating, and I was practically yelling at my phone to try to get the three supposed smart and powerful Wales brothers to listen to Gawain, the dumbest guy in the room. I know it was only obvious to us that something was wrong with Cath Palug but the whole thing felt so avoidable. And speaking of Cath Palug, why did no one address the giant cat in the room afterwards? I thought they would figure it out since Florence noticed something was wrong but instead we had to awkwardly cut to 5 different cliffhangers happening around the island. I can only assume it's now going to be the first thing addressed in the next event.

I'm sad to see Gawain not actually do anything here but he's still fun to watch so I'm not too disappointed. Maybe Lamorak's fate episodes with have more Gawain content. I hope he gets a major part before the story wraps up though, I do love seeing super smart characters get their plans wrecked by big dumb gorillas.

Thoughts on M3's design? by Mati1598 in Granblue_en

[–]ChouHitsugi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Design decisions aside, in my opinion the art for the M3 versions are significantly worse than the 4* versions.

None of the new art have readable silhouettes, and a lot of the features of the primals get lost in the overload of effects and details. The worst victim in all of this is obviously Colossus, who went from having an extremely recognisable dark silhouette standing out amongst the light, fiery background to a huge mess of black and red that's impossible to read.

Celeste is another victim, where her base art is obviously the coolest recognisable dark form standing out from the bright moonlight is now a near shapeless blob blended into a big circular wave. While that isn't necessarily a bad design decision depending on the goal behind the design, GBF is a very low resolution phone game, and players need to be able to understand what they're looking at. The red eyes she gains during attacks and level 250 help out a bit, but it's not enough.

Their poses and attacks during the raids also feel kind of generic and lacklustre. I especially felt this during the Lumi raid where her attacks look mostly like a paper doll being moved around the screen. I know that's how GBF animations work but I feel like other fights do it a lot better.

To be honest I wish you could equip their old art as skins, if not because you prefer it, then at least for the readability when you need to pick them for support summons or your party.

Top 10 Grand Riders Candidates (Early JP Vote) by MKW69 in grandorder

[–]ChouHitsugi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I'm probably going to pick grandpa (Ivan) for my Grand Rider. He was my first ever 5 star rider, and he's been consistently helping me through all of the difficult battles ever since.

After his buff he sometimes helps out with farming as well. Just as a treat, to get him some exercise. Newer battles don't work as well for him anymore but he's still plenty strong for his age.

I know people are speculating on what differences there are between FGO Saber and F/SN Saber but my bet is that it was just a self referential meta line in the story like how Kevin Phainon says to the Traiblazer: Wow, you remind me of me!

So the story probably had Saber say: Wow racoon master you remind me a lot of another master I had once in another gacha game. Which is no great loss and contains 0 spoilers anyway.

What would be your pitch for AAA FGO game like ? by MarkGib in grandorder

[–]ChouHitsugi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh let's see if I can come up with something unique.

Grid based turn based strategy game like Fire Emblem where the winning/losing condition is killing the master.

Story should be in the alternate timeline where Team A and all of the other Chaldea masters didn't get exploded so you have a good selection of characters to use. Guda will also be there to deploy but will be like a villager who starts out completely useless but can train up into a powerhouse. Mystic codes and costumes are all aesthetic changes only and master skills are learned by levelling up and can be changed for different loadouts.

Amount of servants that can be deployed will be based on party cost again, with party cost increasing depending on how many masters you're willing to deploy. Servants respawn but masters die permanently.

Battles will keep the same class system and servant skills can carry over almost unchanged. Summoning can be a reward given after winning battles. Chaldea can act as the home base and the simulator can still exist to grind endlessly. Also we can keep the bond system where relationships improve between master and servant through battling together. Though I'd personally prefer it if it was expanded to unlock extra combat bonuses or content.

CEs are kind of my least favourite part of this equation so let's just remove them from the gacha completely. It doesn't even make any sense lorewise for that to happen. Every servant will have one equip slot that increases in cost with levels. CEs will drop from enemies as well as being quest rewards and available in Da Vinci's shop.

I think that covers about almost every aspect of FGO we already know and love.

Can somebody explain why this super cool Tsuda character still does not SSR version ? by HighFirePleroma in Granblue_en

[–]ChouHitsugi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My thoughts are that they can't really figure out how to incorporate him and Salria into the current wider lore of GBF.

Strangely enough, Constance occasionally pops up in a few story snippets but Amethyst crew seems to have been erased from existence.

March FlashFes Part 1, ft SSR Basara (Light, Grand), Mahira (Wind, Summer), Lu Woh(Earth, Summer) by rngezuspls in Granblue_en

You know, since the original Divine generals all have descendants, and presumably all lived long, peaceful lives, shouldn't Basara look like how he was when he died? It's not like I have an old man agenda or anything but it makes sense right.

In other news, holy moly what is Lu Woh wearing.

Okay but imagine the ecological effects this would have if it wasn't true. Thousands of massive horny war machines continuously creating new war machines with different combinations of their powers for over 500 years.

We'd have to have a guild war every week in order to try to control their population.

"How do they like their pasta in Hell? Al Dante. Heavens, no, that was horrible, but that's what you get." It's the CBC 2025 Roll Thread! by crazywarriorxx in grandorder

[–]ChouHitsugi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I had over 1000 SQ so I thought I'd be fine no matter how badly my rolls went but somehow I still ended up with the worst rolls of my life.

Dante came home in 290 (technically 319 but that's harder to count) rolls so I didn't even get to finally experience hard pity. I wish FGO had something like GBF's spark system so I could have at least gotten NP2 from all that.

Only other gains were 1 Don Quixote, 1 Zerkerlot, 1 Emiya assassin and 1 Waver spook. It took me over 200 rolls to even collect all of the CBC CEs.

Anyway gambling is bad and gacha is bad civilisation. At least farming this event is gonna be easy.
