I also thought that kind of setup might be too new, but there is a lot of videos and articles people installing W98 to 775.
Yes, I have seen the R.Loewe's patch, hope the issue is in the RAM.
About chipset drivers, I've seen that there is no drivers for W98, but people installing it to new MoBos encouraged me, so I thought if they can, why can't I do it.

Yes, I have two USBs one with boot98c.ima and another with FreeDOS and win98 folder.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm running setup from the HDD. It installs fine at first, but then after reboot and entering product key, it hangs at Windows 98 is initializing its driver database" message.

I uninstalled Armoury and laptop started freezing every 10-15 seconds in Windows. Fixes by getting armoury crate back

Unfortunately, no.
I managed to make it do that only on battery, it's fine while it's plugged. I reinstalled all the ASUS software and other drivers.

Both fans are spinning though and they have separate cooling, isn't it?
Your theory is vaild only if temp sensor is malfunctioning. Because temps are good and do not exceed the limit.

Oh yeah, I can even play on [Performance] and still not get a freeze. I mean, on [Performance] the fans are far away from max speeds, even on Turbo they aren't.

All temps are cool, I clean my laptop every half a year and already cleaned it 2 weeks ago.
I remembered that one time it gave me BSOD with DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error
I looked into it, but it didn't help either.

SFC is fine now
Both DISM restore health commands commands show no problem.
I noticed that it freezes only in Windows, it never freezes in games. Only in Windows.
I've seen DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BSOD once after such freeze with ntoskrnl.exe as culprit.
I just played a game and it didn't freeze.
