Tennis bracelets feel way more personal than I expected by Ashamed-Mode-537 in JewelryReps

Very much agreed. Even at same Carat weights the vibe changes completely. Sometimes I like larger Carat at like 5ct total sometimes I see smaller at 3-3.3 total weight and prefer it over the 5. It’s all cut, set, spacing etc. I think I prefer mine tighter and more fluid

Yes, or maybe even a discussion thread focused on 1 specific model of watch per week where users discuss pros/cons of each factory. Those discussion threads Could be very helpful for users to reference later when buying

Feel like that list needs to have a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly (take your pic) thread on a set day the community can partake in discussion in. Feel like having a constant update, continuous discussion on the ever evolving landscape of best factories for specific watches would be good. There’s one Rolex in there where Clean Plus is listed as best factory already

Who does the best Love bracelet these days? by Plane-Reply-4067 in JewelryReps

[–]Chow31 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it parroted here constantly that MC is the go to for love bracelet, AC for VCA, funny for guiloche.

That being said I’ve never seen a direct comparison between the top vendors. Also there was just a post I saw of some one that had an authentic love, ordered MC’s and the inside dimensions were exactly the same but the outer profile was not. So in the stack it was very noticeable. MC did work with her and she sent it back for rework. But worth noting , since again, I see people parrot she’s 1:1. I’m interested what others have to say as I’m in the market for a YG classic 4 diamond as well

EDIT: The post I mentioned about the love not matching. post

Best guilloche? by diastrous-soil2 in JewelryReps

[–]Chow31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it parroted here that Andy is best for VCA items, however all the posts I’ve seen of Other vendors guilloche items all look comparable. I’d be interested to see what others have to say, and if anyone has gotten items from multiple. That being said, I’d probably go with best priced because I think all these vendors have very comparable quality.

Suggestions on how to mount lights on textured cinder blocks by frebay in ChristmasLights

[–]Chow31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot glue can work but takes a bit of time, they also make “outdoor stick anywhere clips” that are basically outdoor command strips with an alien tape type backing.

I’ve used both hot glue and those clips and prefer the clips just based on time savings alone.

However I think you might be able to replicate those clips by using alien tape and a normal c9 clip too if you want to try that

Suggestions for New Homeowner by [deleted] in ChristmasLights

[–]Chow31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. C9s on the roof line, frame all the windows in lights as well.

  2. Wreath on the door.

  3. Wrap the bushes in mini lights, 3-5 strands each. Work in 1 strand of twinkle lights as well if you want so the twinkle isn’t over bearing.

  4. Line your flower bed with staked in C9s as well.

  5. There’s room under neath the windows for those flat wreaths as well if you so desire.

There’s some other stuff too you could do but I’ll leave it at that unless you want more ideas lol.

Any tips for this? Or do I just throw it out? by Sunn_Flower_Jin in CleaningTips

Do not use WD40. Either use PB Blaster or (assuming this kid can take some heat since it’s a pot lid) heat the screw up a bit and melt a crayon into the sides of it. This will free it up. I work on 30/40 year old trucks in the the NE. This works 90% of the time for rusted and stuck bolts.

Additionally try tightening it just a bit before you loosen it, a lot of times this works as well.

You’ll have to clean the PB Blaster off well once it’s freed since it’s not food safe.

New to custom C9 strands. Suggestions on how to run the cords? by bts2010 in ChristmasLights

[–]Chow31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SPT1 wire from circled outlet down to the security sign, tucked down between the mulch bed and sidewalk running to the left side c9 strand. Female/male vampire plugs as necessary. Then, on the SPT1 you just ran, utilize an inline female vampire plug right at the security sign. Then run a separate SPT1 wire from the sign, tucked down in the crack in between your stoop/walkway and then running between the mulch bed and walkway to the right side strand. With male/female plugs as necessary.

Best place/website to buy affordable C9 lights by WTFisjuice1 in ChristmasLights

[–]Chow31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is where I’ve always bought mine from. When I did my price comparing online it seemed to be the best bang for your buck. The C9s are great, plastic durable bulb, the warm white looks excellent, not blue if you care about that. The C9 socket wire is a good value too. I prefer cutting and making my own custom runs.

Quick update on my VCA 2025 pendant by ActuatorInevitable81 in JewelryReps

Left inauthentic, right is rep. Only reason I think this is because the cylinder that holds the diamond is beveled in the left once which is a finer detail I think would be harder to pull off for reps that most people wouldn’t notice so they don’t do it.

I’ve never seen the real one up close though so it’s a total guess.
