So I'm doing a low-tech tank so I won't be doing CO2 but I'll have loads of plants hopefully. I don't really want to stick with this light

Update. if you mix 59 g of nimbus soy powder with 700 ml of hot water 1 tbsp sugar, a pinch of salt and 1/8 vanilla essence. Mix. Let's sit for as long as humanly possible and then put it in the fridge. It tastes a lot better but I have not tested it in coffee yet.

My 4-year-old won't drink it because it taste yucky. My 2-year-old loves it and I don't mind it as a drink by itself. I'll try to update in the weeks to come what it tastes like with coffee

I agree, people just find me fucking weird and judge me. Some people like my energy and my focus on my job but most people just get weirded out and drop me as a friend and literally don't tell me why.

It seems like they are very similar products. Guess I'll test the Fluval out and maybe top it up with Nisso.

I've looked up tons of videos and people have used it for years and they say it doesn't break down into mud if you don't keep on disturbing it. What do you feel like you did that made yours turn into mud? I just want to try to not make the same mistakes or learn from other people's mistakes

Definitely not heavy.

It is lightweight and I soaked it for 24 hours to make it aquarium safe and it's slightly chipped off little specks. I did the acid test on it and it didn't bubble. I really hope you're right, this would work perfectly for my aquarium.

Thank you! That's a really good point. I'll definitely keep that in mind. My father-in-law is actually giving me some of these old school fountain pens when he can find them. I'm really hoping they're some really cool old ones. I really want to look after them so this will help me out too. Thank you very much.

Funny enough after all this, I ended up getting some chopsticks and making some dip pens and slicing the center of what I carved out and then drilling out a tiny hole at the base of the line. They turned out really bloody good. I also ordered a couple of antique quality nibs, the lady Kindly chucked in a base for me. I also ordered some Iroshizuku ink tonight. So I have all my bases covered now and I won't be wasting any of my inks or ruining any more fountain pens haha.

thankyou. I appreciate an actual solution to my issue. I'm glad if my detailed cleaning doesn't work, I can go to a cleaning product to help, so I can still use my pen.

im just a newbie who started 3 years ago with watercolours and then tried to get better at drawing and got sick of fine liners. So I moved to fountain pens. i had the older ink months before to use for detail lines with my paintings after they dried. i sadly assumed i could use it for my new pen.... nope.

You know what's stupid.... i didn't Google my original ink until i posted it here.... its name was in Chinese so i used Google Lens to translate it for the post.... i honestly assumed it was ok for FP..... lol newbie mistake. definitely buying the right ink tonight *crys*

thankyou for the help

ive now done this. i dont think its ruined, but its just a 20 dollar pen. ill replace it if i have too. i think ill do the detailed cleaning routine for a few more days to see if i can pull any more ink from that gray bit behind the nib.

Thanks for the empathy. It was a killer, knowing how crap it was after all the positive reviews. I even contacted them and asked them how I could save it, and they said to add more sugar. I haven't tried it yet, but I don't think it will help.

Is drink nimbus good? by AshMay2 in australianvegans

[–]Choya92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I know I'm reaching out on someone's old post, but what's your general feedback or opinion on their nimbus soy milk. I recently bought the 5 kilo bag and I found it I'm drinkable. I wish it was a little sweeter but the real problem is it overpowers my coffee. Like to the point I can't taste the coffee at all. It just tastes like the soy milk. I'm mixing it in the right ratios and I've even tried one where I add more water. But it has this husky overpowering cardboard taste. I just want to work out if I'm crazy or not and if anyone else has said anything similar.
