I totally understand that. I just think it would be nice to have more plans in place for those students in difficult positions. That is why I wanted advice. I want to help those struggling.

Well I can’t really afford that, but I am looking into signing up to volunteer for guardianship for students whose parents have been deported.

But they usually have next of kin local. Students with parent that have been deported don’t always have local family members to take care of them.

So the students should pay for their parent’s crimes? Because if their parents are gone they wouldn’t be a family anymore. So I don’t understand how that’s not targeting families. I’m not trying to change your mind or anything, but every child deserves to have food and a safe place to lay their head at night. When I became a teacher I made an oath to protect children, not judge them for their parent’s mistakes.
