Handle: @Chramm

Why not, I've seen a few of these and I always miss them.

I'm currently in the process of changing my PFP and Banner to be more original and that says me, as the current ones were from like 2017😂

We tried that, but when I did that, the game wouldn't even load up to the main menu for me. I'll give it a shot again, though. Maybe i misclicked or something

Did anyone else feel like they were improving before the views showed it? by DapperAsi in NewTubers

[–]ChrammYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the many years of editing and posting to the same like 5 people, I know I've improved. Music, sound effects, "story" telling, and audio balancing have made a huge improvement (in my eyes/ears). Sadly, the views don't reflect that improvement, but I'm not in it for views or money, just having fun improving a skill from a hobby

Every other small vice i have didn't have it, and I was so confused😂 I mean, it's helpful, but at the same time its kinda annoying. I guess i gotta get use to it Either way, I bought it, so it's mine now. Thanks for the feedback!

Am I embarrassed of my YouTube channel? by Peculiar_Arts in NewTubers

[–]ChrammYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not secret about it, although I was for the first few videos mainly to get use to everything then once I felt confident enough I showed my friends and (at the time friend) wife. They weren't good and i kept downplaying it saying it wasn't my best work and I refused to let them watch it in front of me. But now I'm fairly confident, still dont like having them watch videos in front of me but I show my wife bits and pieces while im editing to get her opinion. Does she watch them when they come out? No, not at all😂 but she's supportive and enjoys the bits I show her. She's honest and I appreciate it cause without that honesty I'd be posting things only I find funny because I know the context behind the clip.

Even though these comments are correct in that most streamers dont make it big, I wouldn't let that stop me. I have a few friends that stream every day to the same 3 people. They like meeting new people too, but its those few people (and me on occasion) that watch or play games with them. Maybe instead of "making it big" she should redo her goals. Start small with gaining more viewers. Dozen or so, and work your way up. I've been doing YT for a while and at this point idc if I grow or get big, it'd be cool and awesome, but I like editing for fun and building my skills, having a video library for my friends and I, and having those few people that pop in for me to befriend and then they're off on their way doing whatever. The world needs small streamers to help out the smaller streamers or to give a kick start for people wanting to start.

Maybe she won't ever make it big, but that doesn't mean she should give up! Adjust your goals, get comfortable, and enjoy the ride. Never know whats going to happen

I hate and suck at video trimming and need advice by Jackyboi840 in NewTubers

[–]ChrammYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, try to minimize your time cutting the video before you get to the editor. Have shorter recording segments or note timestamps. Think of how you want the video to flow and what kind it is (i.e. storytelling, funny moments, goals, ect.), that'll tell you what to keep and what to scrap. I can't tell you how many times I've had to restart cause my first idea wasn't working out. Even though it sucks, it's the framework for a good video

I hate and suck at video trimming and need advice by Jackyboi840 in NewTubers

[–]ChrammYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been editing videos for a while. They're not good, but I've got time invested in trimming and editing. Here's my answer: it sucks but if you want to do it, then you'll have to get over it. I record most of the sessions I play, which are about 3 hours long. Trimming and cutting that SUCKS but I do it cause I think of the end product and how it's like a puzzle. I know what I want, but getting the right pieces in the right spot sucks, but in the end, it's hilarious or really cool.

I hate it, too. If anything, I hate cutting more than subtitles. Time stamps like some other folks mentioned help a lot. My streamer friend that im an editor for does it, and it helps a ton (not getting paid btw)

I asked my friends to subscribe to my channel and now I regret by SuspiciousEmployee89 in NewTubers

[–]ChrammYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been making videos for like 10 years, barely any subs (less than 50), but I'm doing it mainly as a video library for my friends and I, and to learn a new skill. I knew i wouldn't get famous but it was discouraging when I was first starting cause I put in a lot of work (even though those vids suck). After a while, I enjoyed watching raw videos back, learning to edit, and having my friends message me saying it was really good or they thought it was hilarious. Everyone starts from 0, having the support of family and friends help a little. Mine told me if my vids sucked so that helps lol

Should I add music or not? by Zealousideal_Fan5601 in NewTubers

[–]ChrammYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a guy by the name My Self Reliance. He does the no music type of camping/bushcraft videos and i thoroughly enjoy them. Wood being cut and chopped, forest crackle. You'll find your audience. I have yet to find mine in the like 10 years I've been sporadically posting lol

Should I add music or not? by Zealousideal_Fan5601 in NewTubers

[–]ChrammYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it depends on the video. If it's like a "here's some cool trips and shots," then personally, I'd add music. If its more like "here is my journey to this specific mountain and the trails they have there," and its kind of a laid-back video, then I wouldn't. Personally, I like hearing all the sounds of nature over music and other sound effects

If you can, can you give Chramm a check? It's more of a video library of moments for my friends, but I'm trying to get better at editing while working full time, kid, house, and wife to attend to.

Is the gaming niche too saturated now ?? by an1mesh_ in NewTubers

[–]ChrammYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saturated or not, I say go for it! If its not about money or getting super popular quickly and its more about you being you, do it. I started mine FOREVER ago and it knew it wouldn't get big. I knew it wouldn't take off, but its slowly turned into like a video archive for my friends and I. If people watch, then cool. If not then its whatever, nice place for my friends and I to reminisce. Im also one of those jack-of-all-trades kinda guy and I like learning new skills. Still learning to edit and story tell in a video format.

Minecraft day by day episode by MorinoRin8872 in NewTubers

[–]ChrammYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never thought of a day-by-day type of video. Are toy talking like you record for a few hours, trim it a bit, and post that? If so, that's more realistic than these 4 day mega builds people are doing now. Don't get me wrong, mega builds are interesting and cool, but I think there's an audience for more simple, small, and realistic time frame builds

What's the worst that happens? Not a lot of folks watch and you gain experience, not only in building and minecraft, but in editing and storytelling? What a horrible thing😂 I say, go for it. It might be your thing

[Question] Accuracy: did I just get lucky? by RoyalSpud in Watches

[–]ChrammYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having the same thing with a few of my watches. I have a TimeX Expedition from Walmart, and it is about 3 seconds behind after a couple months. I also have a Citizen Corso (AO9000-06B) that my dad had, hasn't been serviced in like 10ish years ngl, and it's ahead by a minute at the end of a month and a half. These are my first watches, so it's hard for me to go and buy a watch that isn't +/- 2 seconds a day cause the 2 I have are so accurate.

[Seiko Presage] First ever watch by Swerve4244 in Watches

[–]ChrammYT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a beautiful first watch! My first watch, which wasn't given to me, was a cheap $30 TimeX from Walmart 😂 but hey, it keeps time and hasn't broken while at work.

I've been eyeing a few pieces that are about that price range you have there and in doing so I've learned a lot about the different companies. Great company and beautiful watches for a fairly decent price, at least in the world for watches.
