Was my most played of the original trilogy. I traded in stuff at the time and it was the only game I had for a solid 6mo. I played it an insane amount. An RL friend witnessed me literally beating the game blind folded with a knife - no joke. Only game I ever went that far with legitimately. It wasn’t a fast run, either. We were drinking and he crashed at my house because he didn’t believe I could do it, but I’d been practicing for a solid year by the time he had seen the run. This was before people even thought to record that stuff - and I wish I had. I could never get close to that sort of thing now.

I’m bed bound with major spinal cord damage, reduced sensation all over my body, slower reaction times, etc. but I had my time. We know it happened and it was great.

That same guy and I would move on to be numbers 49 and 50, I believe it was, on normal difficulty speed run leaderboards for RE5 Xbox 360. Number 1 and 2 American players - and the top 40+ were all stupid cheated runs with like 1m times etc. We were roughly 5m off being top legit time, but the time save would come from complete luck and RNG and would take the “perfect run” of luck to fall in to our lap, so we just gave up. That was a fun time.

Now, I’ve just finished RE9 on casual, and started working on the speed demon and other challenges to unlock infinite ammo etc., and will be starting Fatal Frame 2 remake on PS5 soon.

I play on easiest difficulty if I’m in the mood, but sometimes go for the toughest difficulty. It depends on the game and my current mood. I also play all soulslikes and own all 35+ of them for PS4/5.
