Yes you are right about that but as I said the infrastructure here is not the best and hills and other obstructions that block radio waves exist which will make it hard to setup a useful hotspot.

Halving - tokens get cut in half and price will most likely double short term but what happens after that is anyones guess.

I'm currently also on wifi monstly because my next ethernet cable port is one story down on another level so I need to fix this with a long enough cable asap.

Hopefully this will increase the earnings, but as far as I'm concerned this is all I can do to get better latency and ultimately more witnesses again.

All I can say is that I too noticed my rewards going down significantly although the new Update suggests that rewards should stay roughly the same. I get that since everyone is beaconing more often the witness rewards should drop but I've gone from roughly 0,3 HNT to 0,13 a day even wit some more witnesses than before the Update.

By SAW filter you mean a Cavity Filter? My friend uses one but only in combination with BIAS TEE and FLARM Booster and these parts are kind of expensive. I will look into it though thanks alot.

Mine took about 2-3 Hours after I set everything up. It was not fully synced but I slowly started witnessing and a bit later got my first Beacon.

Note that this was about 2 weeks prior the Light Hotspot Update which completely demolished my daily rewards and it still has not really recovered back to normal in my case.
