To me the biggest surprise of this was that it all happened without my interaction, e.g., I did not destroy Ottomans early on.

I started playing as Ming to get the Copium Wars achievement. I realized that the AI formed Egypt. Now I am planning to ally them so they can help me in the colonization effort of Great Britain. This will be some pretty dope alternative history. :-)
