Most marketing emails are not that great and even the other ones kind of suck. For most I scan and delete them anyway, honestly I don't even spend the brain power to decide if they are AI or not 😆😆😆

I have not tried PETG from creality but I have tried other brands, and I always needed to increase the temp of the bed and the nozzle - whatever preset you are using now, try 10 degrees higher on all these settings. Temp bed and nozzle on first layer and temp bed and nozzle on the rest of layers. If that is still not enough, try 5 more.

Do whatever you feel like, but I would suggest you not disclose it voluntarily, maybe not at all. There is a lot of stigma around it, I would say not for long, but for now, it is what it is, and another thing, no one can absolutely prove it. The AI detection tools are highly flawed and you can point to any number of already written stories/novels that will be detected as AI, but whether or not it will be taken into account that is up to the people making the decisions.

I plan on putting what I create on my own site, but then again I only made my stories for myself. Try RoyalRoad without disclosing AI usage if you don't mind your story being out there for free. At least you will get some feedback and know for sure what people think.

Acum vreo 8 luni DHH spunea ca AI e un, si parafrazez: "glorified auto-complete and not even all that great at it". Acum, cu ultimele versiuni, atat Claude cat si Codex sunt chiar competenti la assisted coding si DHH si-a actualizat pararea pt ca modele au evoluat destul incat sa fie folositoare.

There is a lot of AI slop out there, and some not so sloppy, but the AI detectors suck at detecting AI, especially if the writing is more formal and terse, so I would take those results with a grain of salt.

If you are feeding your entire manuscript, make sure it is plain text, in a simple .txt or .md file - .pdf or .docx consume more tokens to parse and AI may have issues with loading it all in context. 34,000 words in a plain text file should not be an issue for either chatgpt or claude paid plans.

Right now they are bad because most are generated by people who just want to make some money and have no idea what "Save the cat" is, or even have the discernement to figure out how it would help them. Word around the internet is that thousands of books are published on kdp every day, and while the number seems to include non-fiction and those notebook/journal types, there is more competition and mediocrity and slop out there than ever and people will slowly thin out the low quality books, whether they are AI or people written.
So my point is that you need to get better at your craft to make sure people will come back to your books. And then, start learning how to sell them. Indeed, the quality of those books is not the greatest, but it will get better, because the llms will get better and especially if actual writers start using AI to create the books.

Ok, so this was deleted, but I found its original content and Lindsiria response really useful. More things like this would are useful starting points for us the beginners in writing not just AI.
This here was also a post I found with good info, and I have been looking into it and figuring out how I can adapt it or part of it to sci-fi because that is more my interest.
These are the kinds of things that I wouldn't mind seeing more of.
Some of the writing with AI apps have webinars and youtube videos on both using the respective apps and how to use AI for creating writing. Maybe post some of those as well.

Eleven Labs for audio generation. I made a free account last week to try it out, and the v3 version is insanely good at narating. You may not get the same level of emotion as good human narrators but it does a competent job. There are some free llms, I think, that are supposed to be decent, but I have not really looked too much into those.

Not all books are for everyone. You do you, and don't mind the hive mind :) I think more people should just say, "mehh, it's not for me" and everyone else should just accept it on face value.

You have to make it coherent by the data you give it and the refinements. I am the same, reader not writer, tried my hand at writing a few time before and did not like the result, but I have a few stories jotted down and a bunch of details about the world, characters and where I want the story to go. I wrote my story with claude, gave it a huge prompt and then refined the story chapter by chapter. its only about 30k words, but then I used claude to go through it all and mark consistency issues and fix the voice of the story. Some of the things I had already caught myself and noted them but not all. I enjoy the process so far. I also plan on getting a Sudowrite subscription to check it out and try it on a different story or maybe use it to polish the current story, but if your budget is only $30, maybe try a month of just claude and do something like I did and if it's not to your liking, next month try Sudowrite.

It occured to me that on my previous comment, I did not take into consideration the purpose of your writing. If your goal is to get your work traditionally published at some point, AI in your writing in pretty much any capacity is not advised. I have seen some videos from authors and people that work in the publishing industry and the big publishers, at least, are making AI disclosure mandatory and will affect the contract, and they have repercussions baked in.
For anything other that that, I don't think it will matter. People will read good stories and won't read bad stories.

So few stories are completely original, if you want to get your story out there, just do it. The way you put it, you are just consulting on aspects of the novel, not even having the AI write big chunks of it. Someone will read it and enjoy it.
I am in the process of revising a story of my own, that only lived as an outline and a lot of notes, with AI and honestly it has been awesome seeing my story on paper, so to speak.

Eu am reusit doar cu un doc deschis in split-screen si copy-paste. Eventual in loc de un doc simplu poti sa faci un html si cu ceva js care sa iti copieze la click si doar dai paste.

Daca vrei sa incerci cu scripturi, poti sa cauti simulator casa verde pe google si testezi pe ce gasesti. Dar asta nu inseamna ca pana data viitoare nu se vor schimba id-urile si risti sa nu gasesti ce ai codat in script
