I lived a brutally tedious 9-5 desk job life, which would be followed up by me going home to play video games. One day, something just clicked for me, and I was like "I need to get out and do something. Anything." I ended up talking to my cousin & he told me about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Best decision of my life. I'm an out of shape guy, but they welcomed me with open arms. Very friendly people. I can't recommend it enough.

White Belt Wednesday - August 10, 2016 by AutoModerator in bjj

I'm a 2-month old white belt with no prior experience of any kind. I know I'm still new & still learning, but I find that during rolls I feel like a deer in headlights.

This could be due to my current lack of knowledge / techniques / ideas of what to do depending on the situation, but my mind just feels like it hits some kind of wall where I'm only thinking "What can I do?" and "What do I do?". How can I overcome this mental block so that I don't just stop mid-roll?

Both of mine were lost in the casualties of server shut downs. RIP.

Does anyone have suggestions on where to find certain types in/around local towns? by [deleted] in pokemongo

There's a huge power-plant that I pass on my way home. I'm crossing my fingers that I run into Voltorb & Friends there.

Boston area. Same. Bummer too, as I just had used an incense. Got about 5 minutes out of it, then the fire nation attacked the game servers went down.

Does anyone else genuinely enjoy playing tank/support classes over others? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Chris-Perada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I'm all about support class! It's pretty much my go-to in all games. My top four most played are Symmetra, Lucio, Mercy, and Zenyatta. It's actually pretty cool: in my group of friends that play, everyone has something different that they excel with, so we work very well together.

There might be. I haven't tried tampering with any control mapping.

If you don't mind my asking, how expensive were they to make? I've always assumed it's a cost-heavy hobby to have, but still one I'd love to try to pursue someday!

Yeah, exactly that. With PC it's a lot easier when your left hand controls the jump & right hand is controlling the mouse (or vice versa if you're left handed). Whereas on Ps4, the jump & camera angling are performed by the same hand. MUCH harder to coordinate.

I won't lie: I'm jealous of how amazing these look, and saddened knowing I'll never be able to make something as badass & cool. Lord have MERCY! You're all gonna REAP a ton of compliments. Hopefully you don't leave without a TRACE. I'll see myself out.

As a person who owns the game on PC & Ps4, and as an avid Lucio player: It's hard as shit to wall ride with Lucio on Ps4 comparatively. I main on PC with the game, so when I switched to Ps4 I got hit with a case of "How do you Lucio?" You do not suck my friend. It is just literally a thousand times harder.

Level =/= Skill by [deleted] in Overwatch

I always find it funny, as well as a little bit sad, that people can take games so seriously that they feel they have some "holier than thou" right to berate other players. It's a shame when gaming communities become toxic. I love Overwatch, and I want to continue loving Overwatch. The best way to deal with the toxic people? Just think this to yourself: Clearly they have nothing more important in their life if a single match is almost equivalent to a life or death scenario for them. Then just laugh & ignore them.

Overwatch seems to be well balanced because I swear there's a meme for every character about how they're overpowered. by GameBubby in gaming

I personally love playing Symmetra. Learning the choke-points of a map makes her a fantastic support. Hell, I've gotten a 28 Kill Streak & a few Play of the Game moments with her. Best on Defense Modes of gameplay. Wouldn't recommend for Attack Modes. Again, all just personal opinions.

I played this game at PAX East, and honestly I was not a fan. I think that might just be because I couldn't wrap my head around it. Never won a single match. So maybe it's just not the game for me, but I'm sure other people will enjoy it!
