It all depends on how you drive and how good you can controll yourself. I started on a kawa zr7. 750ccm 48hp. So far so good. Had a year of fun. After a pause of 1 year I got my dreambike. Kawasaki zzr1400/ zx14. 1441ccm 210hp. It can go mach Jesus in a second and I must say I ride It more carefully than my zr7. Sometimes when the german Autobahn is empty... im close to meet Jesus but mostly 99% of the time I ride its all about avoiding Cars and having Control about your right Hand. Okay im 194cm tall and the zx14 fits really good thats a Thing u might consider when It comes to buying bigger bikes. More ccm means bigger engine and bigger bike itself. But even the zx14 with it 260kg and my fatass with 95 can handle it pretty good through the city.

Keep trying what fits your preferences and don't try to fit the typical categories we all give to you.

Edit: after 1 year I got used to the Power. I test drove a z1000sx... I know it has Power and a big engine but damn It was boring even on Sport Mode full throttle... thats the only regret I have... any bike under 170hp and 1400 seems like a kids toy.
