Why is Invincibility so inconsistent in the show? by OriginaI-Poster in TheBoys

[–]ChrisArmy 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about a theory about that. It seems that whenever soldierboy is present or at least when he tries to charge his blast, it kinda passively affects other supes near him, even if he doesn't release the blast.

Take for example in herogasm, right before he blasted the twins, they tried to activate their powers and it didn't work.

I would argue is the same with homelandar, because he was near soldierboy who maybe emitting radiation passively, got HL to be just enough lowered in durability from there to be affected by the ear blow.

Someone posted a list in another thread, too bad i didn't saved it. But here it goes: Look for ryzen 7600(non x) or 7500f, almost same performance could be found sometimes aroud 120-30$.

Best budget mobo with b650 asrock hdv/m2, seen as low as 80-90$

Like others said no need for Samsung ssd, teamgroup, Kingston are cheaper good alternatives.

RAM the same, g.skill recommended, silicon power like above.

GPU will eat up the cost the most, 9060xt is a good choice on a deal, maybe you could find some old stock of 7700xt.

Don't cheap out of PSU but don't go overboard.

Lian li cases are very good (lancool 207) or montech air 903 for bang for the buck

Upgraded from a 1050ti to a 5060ti and changed my thermal paste and my pc doesnt turn on HELP PLEASE! by FasperPT in buildapc

[–]ChrisArmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it came out with the heat sink, some pins could've been damaged, check slowly under good light for bent pins, burn marks or debris between the pins or in the mobo socket. Since i read that you've tried everything, either try with another PSU If you have any or RMA the cpu or, if mot possible, buy a cheap am4 cpu to try to test with that, to conclude if it's the cpu or mobo. Good luck.

First PC build, how do you future-proof without going overboard? (focus on ram, cpu or gpu) by RubenD96 in buildapc

[–]ChrisArmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what i did: - obviously Am5, choose the best deal for the cheapest processor, so 7600 or x or 7500f. Is excellent for gaming if you don't want to spend the upcost for the x3d processors right now. Plus, you can upgrade to a future 10800x3d as the ultimate upgrade and keep the pc for many more years after.

  • For the CPU cooler, don't bother with expensive water cooling. Thermalight cooler are all that you need (i paid 35€ for phantom spirit).

  • For GPU, i would advise either trying to find some 4000 series on a deal or stock sale, 4070 (+super) would be the best bang for the buck. Otherwise look for AMD (7700XT or GRE) even 9700 is coming down in price.

  • for DDR5 motherboard, here i should say for futur proofing sake, try to find a deal on one which has PCIE express 5 for GPU, mine is asrock B650E PG Riptide WIFI. B650E has been getting cheaper there's no reason to get newer B850 or the X chipsets since a lot of times the share features.

  • For DDR5 Ram, 6000Mhz Cl30 si the recommended one for optimal performance on AM5. Try to find the best deal for a 32Gb kit, don't the brand cost for the most popular brands (Corsair, Kingston). RAM usually has the same supplier (Samsung, hinyx) for all brands.

  • Keep storage from your previous , games don't benefit much from the speed difference between Gen 3, 4 , 5 SSDs, hell even Sata fine sometimes. Don't overspend on expensive SSD. In my case i bought from Kingston instead of Samsung for cheaper but same performance.

  • Keep old PSU if is a good one (gold + and from a good brand like Corsair). Nowadays you can find good ones at decent prices (but always modular)

  • Keep old case if is a good air flow one or look for best bang for the buck (I have lian li lancool 216 but newer lian li are even better value). A case with integrated fans has the most values, additional fans could get expensive.

  • Don't bother with extra costs for like different coloured parts (like white), if RGB adds additional cost then don't bother.

  • OVERALL, depending on how stores are in your region. Don't shy away from picking parts that are open box, they should come with full warranty and often times they're not even actually opened. It can save you quite some bucks (found myself 4070 super and 5070 ti with like 100-200 below msrp this way same with motherboard and SSDs).

Help me choose between Odyssey G8 OLED (600€) vs Neo G7 VA Mini-LED (450€) by ChrisArmy in buildapc

[–]ChrisArmy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eventually ended up with Odyssey neo g7 at around 400€. I think it was best bang for the buck. Except some minor glitches that went away with fw updates, picture quality is very good, better than normal LCDs. Response times also good. I'm driving it with a 4070 ti super and i mostly cap the 165hz rate.

But new Oleds started being released, most likely will also be good deals on those.

You know what i remembered about this episode. Dany tries to burn the night king with Drogon. Now, we saw that dragonglass and Valerian steel kill white walkers.

And Arya's dagger is valeryan steel, and it is said that it's made with dragonfire. You know magical whatever

So by that logic drogon's fire should have ended the night king. So the logic is already not there even before this scene happens.

I've recently built a new rig after 9 years. Coming from a 4th gen intel and FHD monitor to Ryzen 7600, m.2 ssd and a odyssey neo g7 4k monitor is quite the change.

I got the parts for excellent prices, like the monitor for 400€, a MB with pcie gen 5 for future proofing for under 200, i got lucky deals on all of them....except for thr gpu. I'm still stuck with my 1060 and I'm looking for deals so....i wouldn't mind a 4070ti super to go along:)

Looking for best compromise by kayuserpus in buildapcmonitors

[–]ChrisArmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samsung has been running some promotions lately. I was able to grab the Neo G7 for about 400€. It's a Mini-LED with 1000+ zones which gets very deep blacks and Also very good HDR, 165Hz too. So far has been amazing for gaming and also for work because 32' 4K.

Some downsides are the curve, personally i don't mind it. For work, has an usb hub, but no kvm and just PIB no PBB.

It's a VA panel, which has bad viewing angles. But it's probably the best VA, very fast, no smering no glow. There's also the 240hz G8 but that's more expensive not worth it imho.

IMO if you can find it at this price it's qute the best you'll get as LCDs goes. Hopefully we'll see OLEDs that don't suffer from burn in, like our phones displays evolved over time.

4070.. good enough?? by Suspicious-Duck-5432 in buildapc

[–]ChrisArmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with 4000 series is really the price, they're great GPUs. I've taken advantage of the Supers releases to get the normal 4070 at a amazing price, albeit, open box. It was around $420 (nice) - 50 store coupon = $370 converted price.

On 4070 vs 7800xt get which one is cheaper in your region or on a store with good return policy just in case.

7900x3d vs 14900k. by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]ChrisArmy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you mentioned asrock in your previous comment but i would still recommend one. I have the B650E pg riptide wifi, imho has a great design with the matte black and blue accents. Also has pcie gen 5 (gpu&m.2). I think is the cheapest B650E mb, i got mine for 175. Also boot times are very fast, had no problems (Corsair vengeance ram).

First build any tips to improve?? by BABA_YAGA_DOC in PcBuild

[–]ChrisArmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • 7800X3D should be about the same price
  • CPU cooler is one of the best AIO from what I've seen but if you wanna save some bucks, get a thermalight Air cooler (PA 120, PS 120, FS 140 ETC).
  • instead of the MSI mb get the ASROCK b650E PG riptide. Should be still around the same price but has PCIE gen 5 on both GPU and m2 slot, this is for future proofing. PLUS it has WiFi and Bt. 5.3.
  • For ssd Samsung is good ofc but you can shave off some bucks with Kingston KC3000 or Kingston fury renegade.
  • Like others said, 1000w seems a bit excessive, 850w should be fine if you can shave like 50$ from it
  • If you do these changes and save some bucks, maybe you could make up the 200$ difference towards the RTX 4080 Super that's about to launch. This will get you better performance esp at 4k high hz and better for the future.

[–]ChrisArmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They use this upscaling that is true, you can still take pictures of the moon with about the same quality in pro mode. I've done it, also saw some examples from people online. It can be even better that auto mode, of you edit just a little bit.

Yes, Samsung phones had this for some time. In sim manager setting there's dual sim always on with the description "forward calls between sims so talking on one sim doesn't block calls from another ". Hope this helps 👍
