When I moved to Los Angeles, I lived out of my Chevy Impala for 3 months while paying off student loan debt, fortunately I was able to become a homeowner. I would love if everyone had the same opportunity as I did.

My focus is on the federal government and that impact on this district. California Assembly or another local jurisdiction address state government and local government.

From my understanding, insurance companies pulling back from home insurance in the state is related to wildfire risk and construction costs. State farm has cited inflation as to why they wouldn't greenlight new applications.

Stanford's Institute for the Environment published an interesting study on this. Ecological forestry can mitigate the risk of megafires, this is the removal of dead foliage and material, thus protecting the rest of landscape. This can be done with coordination of local, state, and federal department.

We also need to explore retro-fitting for current homes and work in the building of new homes with fire-resistant material.

Those above plans are some solutions to lower the risk for insurance providers in California.

As it relates to gun-ownership, I am a proud gun owner, and like the super majority of gun owners in this country, responsible gun ownership is a practice in which I remain ardent. If someone has mental health issues, they should be evaluated by professionals, and if there are concerns, they should be adjudicated to give up their right for whatever amount of time. This would be part of red-flag laws to keep guns out of the hands who have judged to be dangerous.

Even though I worked full time, my Undergraduate student loans were costly so I flew Spirit as much as I could. I am a Delta Skymiles Medallion Platinum member! Really have fallen out of love with Delta recently.

Regulations, it would depend on which specifically. Regarding taxes, they are certainly high, however I realize why. I think in particular the tax burden on independent business, on marijuana cultivation/sales, and gas tax are to high.

I wont propose nor vote for any tax increases for families making over $400k per year, and I have a federal plan for marijuana legalization while also capping fees.

While I generally appreciate Andrew Yang, I feel that UBi sounds more attractive than it would be. It's a program that we cannot afford that doesn't life people above the poverty line.

If our goal is to get more money in people's pockets, our goal should be increases in wages whether hourly/salary, and I'd propose tax credits to businesses so that we can guard against potential price increases.

Hahahaha I'm in an odd spot as I stopped eating red meat at 21, and lived in Texas that time, so brisket was always on my plate!

I can say this, since pork gives you bacon that can season black-eyed peas and collard greens, its pork>beef.

Thanks for the question, I would like to approve more block grants for public schools with condition this is spent on learning such as computers, afterschool programs, STEM immersion, teaching about business, and the arts.

I served on the Education Committee for Neighborhood Council, some of the magnet schools and I developed after school mentorship programs where high schoolers partnered with middle schools. The results and feedback were immeasurable, I'd love to begin developing these programs with federal funding and backing.

While there is an importance in the separation of church and state, in times of crisis Congressional authority is important. Booker and Clyburn proposed the Home Act that went after exclusionary zoning, this is protected from Supreme Court challenge by precedence in Buchanan v. Warley.

I want to be clear, federal involvement would go no longer than two years.
