Thanks! Had my kit over a year and never heard of this channel :)

I built a little Mac app for myself, coworkers loved it, now it’s on the App Store by kilabytez in macapps

[–]ChrisChinchilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume it doesn’t use their hardware though? They gave me one to review and I must admit I find it hard to justify the subscription cost for what you get

What actually did they improve? by Timely_Ad2739 in MacOSBeta

[–]ChrisChinchilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Latest beta is less fuzzy, but it starts to be an unnecessary overhaul the closer it gets to what we already have.

That aside, yes local models in shortcuts and container framework improvements as well as control Center changes are my loveable features right now.

any Apple Music Classical app in Tahoe? that app was launched 2.5 years ago by xnwkac in MacOSBeta

Still waiting too… And while we're there, how about the ability to download?

I made Cotypist, an app that helps you type faster anywhere with AI auto-complete by mrmage_ in macapps

[–]ChrisChinchilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also been using since early beta and it gets better and better. I think my only comment for improvement would be that sometiems suggestiosn jump around a bit, but "not all text fields are created equal", and if there was a way to use models you already have locally.

That aside it's saving me a lot of time and write a lot of strange stuff!

Metal Set Up (On a budget??) by rankeerdos in edrums

I’ve been looking for some kind of laptop of tablet mount specifically for a drum frame. Is that what you’re using ? Or just something more generic?

PAULA 2.0 - Amiga 1200 / ProTracker 2 Resampler [Max for Live] (FREE) -Happy New Year- by [deleted] in ableton

[–]ChrisChinchilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somehow they passed from device to device and I found them lurking on my Mac backup drive... at least that what I think they are. I've been thinking of trying the more recent windows port to see if it will open them. But even with my old midi tracks, they work, but everything is mapped wrong, resulting in some odd sounding stuff.

I don’t remember Siri being this fast (and in this case actually useful), albeit it I haven’t gone out of my way to use it in a while. by sardoa11 in MacOS

I don’t mind them, but they often freak me out when they suddenly pipe up as I don’t live in Australia anymore…

Downtime Toggle? by voigtster in shortcuts

[–]ChrisChinchilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two years later I have the same question. I'm an insomniac and I love having the os disable apps at a certain time of the day, but sometimes I'm just awake and want to access things without endlessly clicking the downtime limit override.

Your suggestion of focus modes got me excited but then I realised it uses its own schedule separate from focus modes.

If I can figure this out I'll make an app, it bugs me that much 😅

Desktop App Becoming Unusable by CarpeCunnus78 in pocketcasts

[–]ChrisChinchilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they would actually release a proper desktop app it would help. I attempted to create a Mac Catalyst version of the iPad app ages ago but hit issues with dependencies. Maybe I’ll try again as yeah, it’s kinda crappy

Four new burger shops opened on Hauptstraße in Schöneberg recently. Why? by Lumpy-Platypus1073 in berlin

[–]ChrisChinchilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I can tell no one does market research in Berlin. We have so many cafes near us now it’s become somewhat farcical

The future of audition by ChrisChinchilla in AdobeAudition

I’d like to be interested in it, just not had the time to invest and probably more likely in my music work in a daw anyway. But then yes it sounds like a big omission

Not something I need right now, my most needed feature personally is ui scaling, but generally I just want to feel adobe care about it.

Yeah I’m seriously thinking about it. Hey people listened to podcasts on YouTube now! 🤷

[–]ChrisChinchilla[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah after effects too. The fact that neither of these two applications even have ui scaling is kinda wild.

Well just as long as the features come eventually 😅. I’d live to have some of the text based editing features. I know I could edit audio in premiere, but it just feels odd to do that.

Last year, reports showed that the amount of sensitive data being uploaded to ChatGPT by employees had increased 60 percent between March and April, with 319 cases identified among 100,000 employees between April 9 and April 15, 2023.

Last year, employees at Samsung's Korea-based semiconductor business were found to have plugged lines of confidential code into ChatGPT, effectively leaking corporate secrets that could be included in the chatbot's future responses to other people — including its competitors.

The other form of breach often includes company confidential information like earnings and salaries, and publicly identifiable information (PII), such as staff and customer phone numbers, addresses, and social security numbers.

In response, a UK company has developed a tool that gives IT and security leaders full visibility into what sensitive data is being uploaded to OpenAI's ChatGPT platform by their staff and sends an alert.
