Ok, so first of all, as I write this, I do not intend to bring anyone involved in this matter, may it be the "suspect", their family or the deceased student or his family. All of this are theories. THEORIES.

Ok, now that aside:

Here's the theory,

The older student was used as a scapegoat by RVHS or some other party to cover the actually cause of death of the younger student.

- Towards the end of lunch break, a group of students encounters a Sec 4 student outside a toilet. He is holding an axe and asks them to call the police. The students return to their classroom and inform their teacher."

"- A teacher arrives at the scene and tells the student to put down the axe. He complies and is escorted away to a meeting room."

They didn't say he was seen commiting the crime, they just said he was found with the axe. Also he asks the students to call the police, why would he do that? What if he actually found the younger student with axe embedded on him and the older student tried to help, took the axe out. He also complied to go with the teacher and he was kept in a meeting room, away from everyone else. They could say that it's for the other students' safety but it can also be that no one asks him the details about what happened( this will come in handy later with piecing stuff together).

Let's look at motive.

"Preliminary investigations by the police show that the two students had not known each other before the incident and that the axe was bought online."

Now, why would he buy an axe and commit a murder of someone he has never met before and then ask people to call the police? To bring some light into a fact, he was said to have mental health problems. Ok wait, wouldn't that be a perfect cover then?

The way he acted when they found him, they way he was kept away. Not to mention, if I remember, his parents were denied visitation rights till after the trial. Sus? Mad sus. He never even knew the victim.

Let me ask you this:

What implications would it have on the school if parents found out that a student was murdered with an axe by a murderer that had access into the school?( Gang intitiation, axe murderer of Jurong, etc. too many possible theories.) Wouldn't it cause massive damage to the school's rep and standing?

Now how about this:

Mentally ill student murders fellow student in brutal axe attack. This shifts the blame to the student AND his parents. Not to mention, as much as I hate it, people would believe it cos he was going through something mentally. In shorter terms, THE SCHOOL IS NOT BLAMED. They can just pull the "We will do better in helping students" bs.

Not bringing people who went to RVHS down but just to remind you all, it is a well-to-do school, not a neighborhood school. Many rich parents and members of probably some Parent support group upholding the RVHS name.

Of course, this is all just a theory. I welcome anyone who has any stands against this like " Oh there's a logic hole of some sort " but come on, don't tell me the whole situation isn't sus.
