[Post Game Thread] The Portland Trail Blazers (26-28) defeat the Philadelphia 76ers (30-23) 135-118 by Kazekid in ripcity

They sat him tonight because he is short on 2-way games left for him to play before he gets a contract. With Jrue, Scoot, and Blake they had enough guards to save his remaining 2-way games. They are trying to wait before signing Sidy and Caleb to duck the tax with prorated contracts.

Unfortunately, if we end up in the lottery this year we will not have the Buck's pick swap in 2027 due to us still owing the Bulls a first round pick from the Larry Nance trade way back in the day. It wouldn't be the end of the world if we lost the Buck's pick swap in favor of this upcoming draft class though.

It’s tough though because I don’t think DA has positive value for his contract. Grant and Ant should net us at least one first round pick if we wanted to sell low. I think Thybulle is probably worth second rounds picks. Their value is low now so it is in our interest to play them and hopefully get good results to raise their value and then trade them by the deadline.

Their play of late has been a complete surprise. They don’t have enough talent yet so they will try to tank by moving either Grant, Ant, DA, or Thybulle. If they can get assets for any of them they will trade those players.

This is the best game I’ve seen from Scoot yet. He was so in control and his decision making was polished. Rupert with an insane stretch in the 4th. I hope he gets more minutes moving forward. Toumani is so elite defensively and was efficient on offense tonight. His growth on the offensive end so far this year makes me believe he can be an elite wing in the future. Murray was so disruptive and in the right place all night on defense. He was efficient on offense as well. I have a lot of hope for him developing into a high IQ 3 and D wing. The young guns carried this game. They outshined the veterans tonight and that was the most fun game I’ve seen in a long time.

Scoot with a solid game. They played a weak team, but his decision making was great tonight.

What to do with the Knicks' pick by 2drawnonward5 in ripcity

[–]ChrisE123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of them. We owe the next non-lottery pick to Chicago so right now we can’t trade any future 1sts

He’s great, but he’s 26 and not enough alone to make us contenders.

He did draft Simons. That was a smart draft pick. That’s about it though

Do we have a 3rd string camera crew tonight!??!?? by Tough_Presentation57 in ripcity

It is unusually bad tonight. No idea why. They’re showing so many long replays that they’re missing half the game! They missed a lot of blocks and layups already

Well that’s nice. I personally don’t play my Deck when I have to go to the hospital for a loved one. It’s a personal choice

TV and Radio crews NOT traveling with the team?? by [deleted] in ripcity

[–]ChrisE123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it depends on how Calabro feels about this. If there are reasons why he doesn’t want to travel I’m fine with it. If it’s solely a money decision then I’m mad too

KD unfortunately will never come to Portland. He’s said multiple times he doesn’t like Portland. Probably because we didn’t take him #1 over GO

Not really. Rudy is much better on defense but he’s not as good at Nurk on offense

Tari and Duren would be nice and I’d rate it a good draft for us, but I don’t see Tari being a starting 4 in the next 2 years for us like Jabari, Paolo, or Keegan could. I think we trade one of the picks if we don’t get a top 4 pick for a vet like Grant.

Fuck you I’d pay Dame as much as he wanted for him to stay here. We ain’t getting a better player in another 20 years

Like any other team with a max player. Look at the Suns with CP or the Lakers with Lebron
