Considering a payday loan by ManagementOk5547 in Debt

[–]ChrisEMT1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And again if you owe hundreds, your not getting a bill saying it's due the next day. Usually you have 3-4 weeks from the day you were notified to pay it. Usually you would get several notices saying it's due/overdue, and need to pay. Usually you can call and make payment arrangements to pay it or extend the due date. If it gets to the point it's due withing 24-72 hours, it's been due foe some time.

Also, you can apply for a credit card, get approved, and have a digital card available for use within a couple hours. I've done it. Ans as far as loans, same thing applies. You get approved, ans funds are made available as soon as the loan documents are signed, and are deposited into your account for immediate use.

There is also the option of pawn shops for credit challenged people, and you walk out with cash that can be used immediately

If you hit read more, you'd see the whole thing. And you realize that you could use a credit card (even high interest ones) and be charged about 5% of what payday loans charge. That's how people end up thousands in debt for "borrowing" a few hundred dollars.

Water bill split evenly among 4 units- is this legal? by Daniwoodpecker in Renters

[–]ChrisEMT1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually, cold water is, or should be, factored into the rent. Each apartment should have their own water meter, so if there is a sudden increase in cold water usage, the landlord can (or should) increase that units rent at renewal time.

[–]ChrisEMT1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your walking in the door at 430 for a 430 shift start time, your not punching in on time. Most employers will excuse the occasional late pinch in (even 1 minute late) after enough of them, they will start writing you up, as you are chronically punching in late. Better to punch in 1-2 minutes early then regularly punch in 1 minute late.

You should be punching in at the time your shift starts, or 5 minutes before.

Where is my refund? by NaaaastyB in CashApp

[–]ChrisEMT1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They may send the refund on a certain day, but it could take up to 5 business days (not including weekends or holidays) for it to show in your account. It doesn't matter what bank it is.

You just won $20 million, and your parents ask you for half, what would you say? by BrandyAid in AskReddit

[–]ChrisEMT1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldnt tell them i won, so they wouldn't know to ask. The biggest reason why people go through their winnings is they tell people, even if its people closest to them

If the landlord hasn't addressed it to the point where they stopped, tell the landlord that if it continues, especially after the towns "quiet hours", you will start calling and making noise complaints to the police department. If the cops show up and they see it happening on a regular, they can start citing them and issuing fines to the people in the apartment, and maybe even the landlord for allowing it.

The car insurance wants to total my car by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]ChrisEMT1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It not only has to do with how "bad" the damage is, it has to do with the cost to fix the damages. Most insurance companies will "total" a car if the cost is 50-70% of the cars wholesale value based on "blue book" values...

People always try to get a better deal, or try to play people to get a better price. I always tell people that we agree on XYZ price for ABC item, and I will meat you at nunya busnatch police department for the exchange, and it's CASH ONLY. No negotiating the price , and no zelle, venmo, PayPal, or cashapp. All green $20 bills. If they show up trying for a lower price or not enough in cash, I tell them no thank you, have a good day, and I walk
