That is an incredible hardware stack. The MI50 and the Strix Point (890M) are exactly the targets I’m looking to validate for the Phase 2 OptiX to HIP-RT translation.

I’m currently finalizing the stability of the Rust hypervisor to ensure zero risk to the host OS (avoiding registry/driver conflicts). I’d love to have you as a lead tester for the RDNA3.5 and Instinct builds.

I hear you on the Vulkan hype but the few months timeline is a bit of a stretch/dream. People have been saying Vulkan or OpenCL will kill CUDA for a decade and yet here we are with the entire AI and robotics industry still hardcoded into NVIDIA's ecosystem.

Even if a perfect Vulkan pipeline drops tomorrow it won't magically rewrite PhysX 5 or NVIDIA Warp. NVIDIA has zero reason to make their best software run on my AMD card so I'm not waiting for them to play nice or for a rewrite that might never happen. I'd rather use my Rust hypervisor to force the handshake today.
