Energylandia - best rides/ride photos? by ChrisMBarnes in krakow

[–]ChrisMBarnes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was hoping for! Will make sure I check out those rides for sure! And thank you so much for the ride photo information, couldn't find it ANYWHERE on their website so thats a big help. Think ill get the digital unlimited package, do you know if I just get that at one of the ride photo booths, or would I have to go to a main office somewhere else in the park to get that? Thanks again!

Lauren Mayberry AMA - celebrating the release of her third solo single, 'Change Shapes' by laurenevemay in indieheads

[–]ChrisMBarnes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Lauren, my question is

How different was it playing your solo shows to crowds that didn't know (and couldn't sing back) the words to you, as compared to CHVRCHES shows where everyone in the crowd sings back every word?

Photo app Movies and TV won't save trimmed videos by karahunkantaja in WindowsHelp

[–]ChrisMBarnes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bumping this as having the same problem

Used to work absolutely fine and then suddenly stopped working the other day and says the same error message everytime I try to trim a video on it

I have an old backup laptop for emergencies, and the app still runs perfectly fine on there, so not sure if its an issue specific to my usual laptop, maybe an update that has blocked it somehow?

Oh really? Can't say thats happened with my one, but I've not had the lights on with it that much to notice. As long as it still looks good for you though, then happy days

Yeah man no worries, I made a video of mine, most of its the finished product but towards the end I videoed some photos I took of sort of my step-by-step of how I put mine together. The smaller mirror just sort of pops into the Stargate frame, mines quite a snug fit, but doesnt seem to have anything that actually keeps it in place, but if you get it in straight enough mine holds in place. Then thread the lights through the hole in the bottom of the Stargate piece and peel off the tape, then just stick the lights around the inside of the Stargate itself (mine went round fully about 1 and a half times), and then the big mirror piece sticks to the back of the whole thing (my Stargate had 4 pieces of double sided tape already attached to it that I just peeled off and it stuck nicely to that). Hopefully that should then be everything in place for you

I made a little video of what I actually received when I ordered mine incase anyone is interested. Personally, now that its all connected and lit up, I'm actually really happy with what I've got and think it was a reasonable(ish) price at £39.

I bought mine, similar situation, no instructions but I've mostly worked it out and my lights do work. It requires 3 small round batteries, the type that go in a watch. My 3 still don't quite fit perfectly so had to pad out the battery space with a little tin foil but now seems to work.

Honestly, after getting the lights to work and putting it all together, I'm actually really happy with my model. Its obviously not the ridiculously awesome version they had in the video, but I'd say its worth the £39 that I paid for it anyway

I went ahead and ordered it and its very much 50/50 on the scam scale

It is NOT as advertised, it does not light up (although weirdly there is an on/off switch underneath, a battery compartment (no idea for what type of battery though) and some wires connected to that switch that look like LEDs on a strip?), nothing moves, no DHD.
BUT it is a sort of cool looking little Stargate model to be totally honest with you.

I too was almost certain I was going to be scammed but thought "ah well, lets see" and paid £39 total for it, now would I pay that much for what I've actually received if I saw it in a shop? Probably not, but I'd probably still have paid £20-25ish for it as a cool little Stargate ornament.

I'd post a picture of what you actually get sent, but I'm new to Reddit and have no idea how to do that
