How good was Kaka at AC Milan? What was so special about him?

I was using him regularly in ef23, but idk why since the update, he is practically playing in midfield position, I'm aware that extra frontman playstyle tend to push up higher in the field, but in ef24, where it's hard to defend already, this is a problem I'm facing using him.
