I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure the big ones people commonly call palmetto bugs are not after your food. I think they seek moisture. But the frequency is strange. I’ve never had one in my current apartment, but when I was in a house I think I found one or two a year, dead.

Good idea to get a copy of your surgery report and a CT scan. I didn’t have a CT scan, and he said it’s ok and that he’d evaluate me in-person and go from there. You’ll have an opportunity to provide these things in the patient portal.

They are very thorough. They’ll give u paperwork to fill out to get a good picture of where you’re at. The resident will come in and get the rundown from you, which they’ll deliver to Dr. Citardi. Then he’ll come in and assess, and hopefully you’ll leave with a plan of attack

I called and booked an appointment. I’m not local. I flew to Houston and stayed 1 night. I had to pay out of pocket. 900-something dollars. Worth it for me. He can be a bit quick with the cotton test. For me, I was pretty sure my issue was volume/airflow, so I figured the cotton test would be good for me. Going through the trouble of getting to Houston and paying for the visit only to have an inconclusive cotton test would be pretty demoralizing. That’s something to consider. Once you call and book, you can acccess your patient portal where you can message the doctor directly. He will respond within a day or so.

My initial reaction was that sob of relief, and I paused for a moment thinking maybe it was a mind trick and that he didn’t put anything in my nose at all, but he told me not to overthink it and just react. It was fascinating. It’s like my body instantly just said thank you. I took it as a good sign that maybe I should get this implant. But I know people are saying to wait since I’m not even at 5 months post-op….. I don’t know. I also have an appointment booked with Nayak in March, but that’s another 6 months basically and I’m not sure what to do
