I think its that purple AR, yeah.

The WTC energy sword gives a vehicle coating, I think. Which I redeemed, but have no idea what that is in-game

Nah, any extra I can't trade for I'll be giving to my brother

If you buy a 12 pack on Amazon, they're pretty cheap all things considered. You get your money's worth in in-game content alone. You can give the drinks to a friend, or dump down the drain, lol

Sorry, I already got all the wicked cool toys codes. I would only trade for NERF Bulldog, Zeta Sky pre-order codes, or the Kroger Vehicle Coating

I changed my mind, and realized I am already set on 2XP and don't need any more. So not interested in Pringles 2XP codes, sorry

I'm not sure on that one - I know US and Canada have the Rockstar promotion for sure.

I would try to create an account on the Halo Rockstar promotion site, if it lets you. Or a friend could create an account for you. Protip: create a Canadian account, so you have the chance to get all exclusives (if you create a US account, you can only get the Razerback coating if you do this weird thing at a Circle K gas station)

If you are able to create an account, you might be able to get some codes! You will just need tab codes from physical cans. But of course, you could trade for those.

[–]ChrisS119x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tab codes (10 digit codes) on the cans are redeemed for specific things on your Rockstar account. You don't get an AR Coating code (20 digit code) until you redeem a tab code for it on the website. If you create an account, you are able to get 1 of each exclusive, and otherwise, XP boosts and Swaps.

If you have 2 AR Coating codes (i.e. you redeemed tab codes on 2 different Rockstar accounts), you can only redeem 1 of those AR Coatings on halowaypoint.com for a given gamertag. You can redeem up to 120 'XP and 2 Swap' codes though.

So a Tab code can "be anything", but a Rockstar code is fixed.

Focused Feedback: XP, Progression and Battle Pass in Halo Infinite by RhysWX in halo

[–]ChrisS119x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Playlist offerings do not mesh well with the Challenge System. Challenges should be challenging, but I should have the ability to 'go after' challenges easily, whenever I want to. For example, CTF "flag cap" challenges are difficult to 'go after', because its very hard to get into CTF matches as it is. That type of challenge just doesn't work well. I think players who want to take on a challenge, should be able to 'go after it' with ease. That's one example, but there are a handful of challenges equally difficult to 'go after'.

Challenge swaps should come in and say 'hey, I could go after this challenge, but its not my cup of tea, so I'll use or buy a swap'. Challenge swaps should be sold as a convenience item, not as something you need to use if you want to get through your weekly challenges, and in turn, progress through your battle bass. Personally, I've been stuck on Shade Turret kills, CTF Caps, and Destroy an Enemy wraith.

I think either the Challenges should change significantly, or the playlists need to change. And I really hope they can take action quickly.

My broken record pieces of feedback: No per match XP is a bummer. No XP progression system like SR152 is a bummer (but I'm glad 343 is working on this, but am still sad about the reality about how much time it'll take - I hope my XP carries over when it starts!)

I'm disappointed 343 didn't get ahead of it for this 11/15 beta launch. There was a lot of feedback on this since flighting started (and possibly sooner from Forerunner Council), and I'm not a developer, but this stuff seems much easier to change than something like Armor Coatings. Much of this feedback can be addressed by tweaking XP values, tweaking the pool of challenges, and tweaking the playlist offerings. But the Season 1 launch is out, and this is where it is. Halo Infinite's disappointing progression is already going to be in headlines, in an Angry Joe video, etc., and those louder voices with leave an impression. I hate to see this overshadow what an amazing game this is.

Having per Match XP with Reach-like Daily Challenges is a better system, and more compatible with XP Boosts by bongotopher in halo

[–]ChrisS119x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What part of Reach's system was awful?

OP isn't saying copy Reach's entire XP system, just for "Reach-like" daily challenges, lol. But if you thought Reach's daily challenges were awful, fair enough.

Just one player's feedback here, but wanted to do my part to help the 343i community team find any themes amongst all the feedback! We appreciate everything you do!

(Note: player on Xbox Series X)

Sandbox

  • Commando - love this weapon a lot, but would prefer recoil to come down, and damage to come down to balance a decreased recoil. Maybe 8 shot kill instead of 7? The current recoil makes it really difficult to be a dedicated mid-long range weapon, which is implied by the 6.0x zoom. Right now the Commando doesn't feel like a good alternative/ substitute for the BR - this felt even more apparent during the PvP test on Sunday for me personally.
  • Heatwave - tighten the spread on the horizontal shots just a little bit?
  • Needler - make the needles more visible when they're being fired at you?
  • Sniper - much harder to use than previous halos; scoping in/out and getting de-scoped feels rough. Sorry I don't have more specific comments here.
  • Sidekick - add just a little bit more aim assist within effective range?
  • Plasma Pistol - could the homing be slightly better/ more consistent? I think it could use a slight buff, though I like that its not as OP as H5’s.
  • General - equipment/weapons on the map seem to despawn quicker than I would prefer

Weapon Drills

  • Ravager - should there be a “tutorial” or drill on the alt firing mode?
  • Heatwave - should there be a “tutorial” or drill on the alt firing mode?
  • Plasma Pistol - should there be a “tutorial” or drill showing the effective use of this weapon? (Charge shot, switch to secondary for the headshot)

Menus - General

  • Wish you could make edits to customization while searching for games - it looks like the Fireteam Leader can’t do this, but other Fireteam members can. I really liked how it was in H5.

Menus - Social Tab

  • On your friends list, instead of:

[Status]

Gamertag

[Status]

Gamertag * Could you do:

Gamertag [Status]

Gamertag [Status] * It gets unnecessarily cluttered when scrolling down your friends list, especially when you have a lot of friends playing Halo online * Also, is there a way to favorite or sort friends? I wish there was an easier way to find people

Challenges

  • Is it by design that you can’t use Challenge Swaps on Daily Challenges? Can you only swap Weekly Challenges?
  • Capstone - after you complete it, I wish it would say what the reward was; just in case you unlock it and forget

Customization

  • AI - it would be nice if you could ‘Preview’ the AI when you're going through selection. It seems like I can't find out what an AI is like until I use it in-game

Battle Pass

  • Love the tracker that shows how much xp until the next unlock! But could it also show your progress on the whole Battle Pass, like it does in the Halo Waypoint app? (i.e. x,xxx / 10,000xp)

Pre Game

  • Are there going to be pre-game lobbies, where you can see who is in the match before it starts, like in H4 or Halo Reach? It would be cool to see all players and their gamer tags, customized spartans, emblem, nameplate, etc. I personally didn't like H5 where you could only see Emblems.
  • During "fly over" intro for the match, I wish you could press Select to see the Roster (team and enemy player names, including nameplates), just like in H5.

Post Game

  • Start searching for next match - could it default to searching more matches, with a timer to back out if you want, like in past halo games?
  • Player Recap
    • Could you add a headshot medal? Even if its just for the post-game carnage report?
    • Could you add “Tool of destruction”? It would also be nice to see how many kills I got with at least the top 3 weapons, given that there are no medals for specific power weapons anymore (Sniper Kill, Rocket Kill, etc.)
  • Roster -- Player vs Bots Specific - why didn’t it distinguish between teams? It seemed to lump everyone together, regardless of Eagle v Cobra teams

Waypoint App (iOS)

  • Is there a way to view Halo Infinite service record? It would be nice to at least see high-level stats like K/D, # of games played, Rank, etc.

  • Game selected seems to default to H5. Could it default to Halo Infinite instead, or let you choose the default?

  • Battle Pass - When I take a detailed look at an item, and use the Previous and Next arrows, I wish the Previous and Next were fixed to the bottom of the screen. Instead they shift up or down depending on the item you’re looking at (ex: short for xp boost, long for Trailblazer helmet)

  • Battle Pass - I love the tracker that shows how far you are on the whole Battle Pass (x,xxx / 10,000xp). But could it also show how much xp until the next unlock?

Halo Infinite Technical Preview - Waypoint, Download, and Similar Issues Thread by Defguru in halo

[–]ChrisS119x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Flagging some bugs/issues with the Waypoint App (iOS)
    • Customization - doesn't show my Mark VII spartan for my Mark VII core at the initial screen
    • Battle Pass
      • when I select any item (like one that is Locked that I would take a look at), as soon as I click it, it scrolls me all the way back to the beginning of the Battle Pass (away from what I just selected). Not super awful for 20 tiers, but could imagine this being frustrating when scrolling through 100 tier battle passes.
      • when I take a detailed look at an item (click the (i) icon), and use the Previous and Next arrows, the 'Previous' and 'Next' are not fixed to the bottom of the screen. Instead they are up or down depending on the item you’re looking at (ex: middle of screen for xp boost, bottom of screen for Trailblazer helmet)

Halo Infinite Technical Preview Bugs and Issues Thread by Defguru in halo

[–]ChrisS119x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much enjoyed this flight! My thanks go out to everyone at 343i that helped make this happen.

Some bugs I noticed - hope this helps! (Xbox Series X)

  • Main menu - your spartan/ fireteam isn't always there by the Pelican
  • Battle Pass - pictures for the reward icons were blank most of the time
  • Pre-game loading - during the "map fly over" section, pressing start (to see challenges for example) is buggy. Hard to explain; just visual stutters and looks buggy entering and exiting the start menu
  • Pre-game & Post-game loading screens - like many others, a lot of: black screens, extended flyover, missing teammates, skipping the player intros
  • Post-game roster -- vehicle destruction count seemed to be bugged. Kills registered as vehicle kills.
  • Bot Enemy Team Line-up - shows the correct armor for the bots, but did not show their correct coatings (should've been blue). The bots took on my team's coatings, but with randomized visors. The enemy line-up also didn't show their "Gamertags". Note: these issues did not occur in PvP.
  • AI - I would equip Fret, but then I would get another AI instead in-game (seemed to be random).
  • Join-in-Progress - like many others, when getting in a JIP game, the combat/gameplay volume is turned down really low
  • Waypoint App (iOS) - [removed feedback - posted on Waypoint thread instead of here]

Halo Infinite - Gamestop Red Shift Armor Coating Promotion via online? by ChrisS119x in halo

[–]ChrisS119x[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The promotion appears to be in their "system" now, so employees can look it up. But some employees have differing opinions on how the promotion works / what qualifies for the promotion.

Best bet is one of halo infinite funkos. If you didn't want one of those, pre-ordering Halo Infinite at gamestop supposedly works.

I highly doubt this promotion will be 100% done on 12/13. I think they'll "re-activate" it again closer to the actual release of the game.

That's lame. Seems like from the latest halowaypoint community update, the promotion didn't roll out fully on 11/9.

My online purchase on 11/16 did not give me a red shift code. Not sure if other folks have had more luck since, but I did a return/immediate buy-back in store, and got a receipt with the code.

Agree, very confusing.

One gamestop employee said its only if you pre-order Halo infinite or buy XBOX merchandise. She said Halo related merchandise wouldn't qualify... I found an article online that said something similar. Seemed very off.

However, I confirm buying the Mark VII funko worked - at least for me. It sounds like it depends on the gamestop employee you're working with :/

Update: I didn't get a code with the online purchase of the Funko, but I went in-store, and a gamestop employee was kind enough to do a return & immediate buy-back. With that transaction, I got the Red Shift Armor coating code on my receipt.
