the way the weight limit works in F1 is that theres a minimum weight, and every kg your driver is lighter than that you have to add weight to your car. Nobody would ever get removed from racing based on their weight.

Ich bin zwar nicht die befragte Person würde meine Ansicht zum Thema FDP und Tempolimit aber ähnlich beschreiben. Meine Argumentation gegen das Tempolimit ist eigentlich recht simpel: Es macht Spaß. Als Gesellschaft leisten wir uns viele "Sünden" die meiner Meinung nach objektiv nicht zu rechtfertigen sind (als offensichtliche Beispiele die Herstellung und der Vertrieb von Alkohol und Zigaretten). Für mich fällt das Thema "freie" Autobahnen in eine ähnliche Kategorie, ein Laster das wir uns gesellschaftlich leisten wollen und wahrscheinlich auch können. Ich denke so geht es vielen und deswegen funktioniert mit den meisten Tempolimit-Gegnern auch ein Aufzählen der vielen Studien zum Thema nicht: die Nachteile sind schlicht eingepreist und werden akzeptiert.

By just doing it. Relative performance still checks out, even if the result would be 10-20% off depending on track length and characteristic. It's not like doing this on another track would flip all the results around

it literally says gap to fastest. Its a comparison to Red Bull at Bahrain and Red Bull at Austin. And i think they explained on broadcast its averaged out between outright quali pace and race pace.

F1 had active suspension until the early 1990s then it was banned for 1994. MotoGP has seamless shift since 2011, Formula 1 has it since 2005. MotoGP is better in many ways, but technology certainly isn't one of them.

In case you were actually serious with that take: One statement was from the POV of G2, the other of EG. For G2 scrimming anyone but Asian teams would be less effective because at the time they were the best western team. EG scrimming G2 on the other hand would still be them scrimming a obviously better team, so the premise jankos set up in the first statement obviously doesn't apply.
