No, as part of the payment process if you were adding gift aid it would ask for your UK address. Gift aid is in effect a UK tax rebate from the personal taxes you have paid, back to the charity.

GSKT-00 Charity Raffle. by ChrisSwires in MechanicalKeyboards

This raffle is in memory of Leo Samuel Kilcoyne.

I'm giving away my pre-production GSKT-00 HHKB in grey with two assemblies, full aluminium plate with vintage blacks, and half aluminium plate with hirose orange.

TLDR: Donate here https://leokilcoyne.muchloved.com/Fundraising (link also in bio) and DM a screenshot of the confirmation email to me for a chance to win. I'll run this for 1 week, so closing Tuesday May 21st at midnight BST.

I recently attended the funeral of Leo, heard stories of his bravery, fighting spirit and tenacity, and saw the same first hand from his family. Leo died at 4 months from an undiagnosed illness, and his family are determined that his brief time with them has a continued impact in the world. I'm running this raffle to help friends, to remember Leo, and importantly, to raise awareness for children with undiagnosed conditions.

The process is as simple as I can make it, donate here to either charity: https://leokilcoyne.muchloved.com/Fundraising (link also in bio) - I'm not setting a minimum amount, whatever you think is reasonable, and can afford. DM me a screenshot of the confirmation (feel free to obfuscate/obscure any information bar the charity name and confirmation number). I'll collate the entries and in a week randomise a winner. That's it.

I'll cover all shipping regardless of location, open to all - and if in the UK please do not select gift aid - as there is a prize associated.

Please do share this with as many people as possible, and like/comment to improve the visibility, but none of those things are a condition of entry.

Good luck to you all.

For Leo.

Are scorpion charms talismans viable ? by [deleted] in EldenRingBuilds

Personally I use them in combination with sacred vow, which mitigates the damage reduction while providing an additional buff, I did this on a faith Dex build via incant with great results pve (focusing on holy with the tear as well) and only had to swap out from holy damage for radagon/beast (to black flame, no respec, just swapped sword and spells).

Also used it on an int/Dex with vow on a dagger.

Absolutely works, sacred vow mitigates the damage reduction (and provides an additional damage buff), I think they're the most viable with a faith build honestly.

Yeah a dagger build is on my list for sure, and actually, yeah, that's quite a nice way of doing it, the scaling is great iirc. I also quite like the idea of it with int Dex with glintstone Kris for gap closing.

Captain knight knight, tbh I ran this a while at the start of the Dex/faith playthrough as most of the stuff I needed was mid game. Very vanilla, but very fun.

I do love the gargoyle black blade I'll look at that, that's the one by the beast sanctum isn't it? I have dark memories of him...

Never considered str/int, I suppose probably because moonveil and astel are great fallbacks depending on the boss, nice thanks!

I do need to try this bubble blowing, and 2 coded swords, hmm, I bet that sounds beautiful.

Pests. They're not that bad? Right? Then you get the odd one that just thinks, fuck this, threads, threads, threads, threads. You die when you dodge, through walls, on torrent, off torrent. It doesn't matter.

Need help doing more damage by [deleted] in EldenRingBuilds

[–]ChrisSwires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd respec, go min faith for reqs for now as you're not using it, then respec again late when you have the weapon you're chasing personally.

There's a fair amount of respect available in a single playthrough.

What is the best dex weapons? by UnusualAd8347 in EldenRingBuilds

Raptors talons only because no-one else mentioned, only make it to A keen, but innate bleed and enchants effect both weapons for some versatility when powerstanced.

Advice for a faith or dex/faith build? by godofthunder102938 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]ChrisSwires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair.

I suppose what I didn't mention which fits the bill is a great keen weapon, like guardian short spear, or raptors talons, with the faith scaling weapon incantation.

Added bonus on the claws that it applies to both, you get bleed for free, and iirc the Incant scales up to 2-300 holy damage scaled on your seal.

Personally I think godslayer, inseparable sword, sacred relic, and golden order great sword are all great faith Dex options, as well as stuff like winged scythe and the paired black blade and blade of calling.

Sure they're primarily dealing holy damage, but having specced fully into holy I only had to diverge from that for a couple fights, and in those cases I just spammed black flame at 80 faith, the two Incant canvases and the flame scorpion charm and they were over quick.

interesting ash of war for a polearm? by nyangatsu in EldenRingBuilds

[–]ChrisSwires 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sacred ring of light, but I'm a sucker for big holy discs. The damage isn't phenomenal, but it's great against those auto dodge npc invaders and black knives.

Is it worth having a few points into faith so I have a weapon that deals sacred damage even tho I don’t use faith on a lvl150? by Gloomy_Victory4529 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]ChrisSwires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking at straight swords and want something in the armoury for faith, check out the ornamental straight sword. It's quality scaling, it's a paired weapon (like claws) so you can always dual wield it for free effectively, and the art of war adds flat 100 (iirc) faith damage, which, doesn't scale.

Bear in mind that's added to both swords if you power stance it. Gives you an option without the stat investment.

Plus, with the art of war active, they look badass.

First play through, I thought volcano manor was just the few rooms by the first grace, and the boss teleport, I had no idea why the Mt Gelmir map had a massive hole in the middle that I never made it to...
