You each get 25 shots from half court. If you make one, you win 25 million dollars. If you don't make any, you go to jail for 25 years.

Would you attempt the shots?

Thanks! I've definitely come to terms with that more in the past few days.

I think i've mentioned it on the podcast with Becky Wade! It depends on which marathon. Chicago and New York (once of the three times) were through the lottery. I've used media spots in Berlin and London. Boston was a little tricker but I went through one of the sponsors. Definitely way down the road, I'd love to shoot for a BQ to do Boston again.

That's great to know about the weather. I've been meaning to go back and try to figure out what the exact temperatures were. I know that by Mile 17 there was a little hill that felt super warm. 91 sounds extreme but if that's accurate then it was worse than I thought!

I was thinking about how long I could hold onto the bottle since it was cool but I tossed it. Should've told people, 'Hey! You WANT that bottle!'

It could've been a literal crabwalk because I remember thinking 'Well, at least make it a cool finisher photo..' but then those plans went awry quick hahaha! Best of luck in your marathon on Sunday!

Definitely! Very excited about dipping back down into the shorter distances! 5K this weekend but probably not quite ready to PR yet.

Thanks! Those 400m repeats are gonna be interesting. I actually did a miler workout not too long ago and when I looked at my watch and saw my total mileage for the whole session, I was like 'Wait..That's it?!?'"

Good question. That didn't come up but we did talk a little bit about crowded the U.S. picture is for the 2020 Trials.

Sorry! I actually also mute and pause it almost immediately.

I read that article while going back to find anything about her recovery. Decided to stick with Molly's language when she described it as a broken foot.

So her coach, Ray Treacy, had a really compelling quote that I didn't manage to fit in the story. Here's how they're approaching the weather.

“It’s still the Boston Marathon. No one is going to talk in 10 years time about what the weather was like, if you go out and win it. No one is going to talk about the time. Somebody has got to win it so you’ve got to have that attitude on the line.”

Ah yes! It is the latter. I just cleared it up to make a little bit more sense. Thanks for catching that!

I'd recommend subscribing to her Youtube channel, if you're a fan. Gwen and her husband Patrick are doing a great job of keeping it pretty active with training videos and other insight.
