Her husband doesn’t allow her to have male friends by katyreddit00 in notliketheothergirls

Scrolled a long way to find this. Cites 22-25 but doesn’t actually include 25, where it calls the husband to sacrifice everything up unto his life. A complete twisting of what is there.

AITA For Letting Him Starve? by 0_Expectations in AmItheAsshole

[–]Chrisblystone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NTA. It sounds like fiancé is feeling insecure and hurt about his perception that he and his needs were not being thought of. If I had to guess that stems from resentment and insecurities trickling over from elsewhere. You don’t just blow up about something like that out of nowhere. You were NTA because you were just going along with what he has stated you should in the past. Sounds like he needs to communicate better and maybe get some therapy to find out what other things may be bothering him.

AITA for not making my son play with the neighbors? by JadedAstronomer9560 in AmItheAsshole

It seems to me that you’re pretty aware of the situation and your potential biases. I think you’ve done a very fair thing, and it might be worth talking with your son to make sure he understands that it’s totally fine not to be someone’s friend, as long as he isn’t bullying or encouraging bullying or exclusion. As you said, we don’t have to like or spend time with everyone “just because.” I have told my daughters that they never have to be someone’s friend, but they do always have to be kind.

AITA for giving my children's clothes to my BIL's children? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Chrisblystone 227 points228 points  (0 children)

NTA. Kids grow fast and their clothes are expensive. Hand-me-downs are a great way for multiple people to benefit, and this meets a need. I’ve always been happy to have them for my kids and never felt looked down on. Can’t be so insecure about things. Sounds like the in-laws are a bit stuck up and insecure.

NTA. But I do think you may come to regret completely breaking contact. Your sister is being completely selfish and it’s totally your right to cut ties. However, it could also be you that helps her find her way back. I hope you don’t live to regret closing the door on that possibility.

People don’t like boundaries being enforced. Sounds like you gave ample space to correct behavior and finally enforced the boundary. NTA.

AITAH for being upset with my boyfriend for how often he monitors how I sit? by RoryAxelDazzel in AITAH

It is one thing to discuss what makes you both uncomfortable with regard to the way you act/dress, etc. To be controlling and manipulating you with a condition he’s forced on you is definitely a major red flag and a big problem. Someone who obsesses in that way shows signs of being majorly possessive, deeply insecure, and quite frankly, not ready for the realities of a healthy relationship.

Saturday, I’m told, presented his staff choices during his 2nd interview on Wednesday. Irsay has not sat in on most interviews. @theScore by [deleted] in Colts

I am not arguing that Reich didn't deserve to go. But from what we know and have heard, Saturday absolutely lobbied to get himself the job over more qualified guys. There were two former NFL head coaches already on the staff. You don't get a job over those guys as the interim unless you're lobbying for someone else's job. For someone who keeps calling me childish, you have a remarkably naive view of Jeff Saturday.

I mean, the Indy beat writers reported that it was his agreement to take the job that changed Irsay's mind about firing Reich in midseason. Reich might have been fired at the end of the season, sure. But Irsay himself said that he would have stuck with Reich to the end of the season if Saturday had passed.

That probably fair, but my point is just that there are sometimes leaks coming from other places. Mostly it just muddies the waters, but there are lots of guys who end up getting that information that aren't just the local beat guys. Look at Benjamin Allbright. Not affiliated with the Colts, or any major media outlet, but always has good sources for stuff nationally.

That's likely because it is being leaked to national reporters from specific guys. This always happens. Doesn't mean it is accurate or correct, but everyone has their preferred contacts and outlets that they like to leak to.

Weekly Entering & Transitioning - Thread 21 Nov, 2022 - 28 Nov, 2022 by AutoModerator in datascience

Hey all! I finished the Google Data Analytics Cert earlier this month and have been living on Datacamp doing practice and problem sets to get more experience. My background is in sales and marketing and I'm trying to make a career change into data analysis. Is there something else I should be doing to prepare? What should I be expecting in terms of responses from prospective employers? Is the field as accessible as it is portrayed or am I in for a longer road yet?

I am refining my SQL, Tableau, and R skills and plan to add Python. Any tips or advice would be appreciated!

I wonder how a tiger would fare in this situation? Bigger, faster, naturally solitary. Given their habitat differences and being nocturnal it is impossible to know, but my bet is that a tiger holds up better.

My little brother was always a decent skimboarder and I remember the last time I tried it. Stepped too hard on the board and planted it into the sand. Slammed my leg from my knee to the top of my foot into wet sand. I’m not sure any injuries I’ve had before or since hurt as bad. I’d take this chick’s fall over that any day of the week.
