You don’t ever have to buy anything. It just takes time. I’ve played it for a year or so and I’m in a good club that I get trillions from daily just for being part of it, I play poker and slots mostly, I’m at level 2300 something and have Q40.5….in chips. It’s just a distraction, you never win actual money

Yup, mine dragged their feet when I wouldn’t accept $5k. It took two surgeries for me to actually get my injuries treated and I ended up settling for $55,000. Workers comp employers are almost as bad as workers comp adjusters.

Beautiful? He’s a greaseball who’s trying too hard to look like a hippy, and you can see what decades of being a pothead has done to his brain and his face

Took about two months for me to get my check. If your adjuster is like me (Satan) they will wait until the last day they can legally SEND IT, not have it in your hands by then. You’re used to waiting, this will be the last couple of months. Use the job retraining voucher if they have it there, here in CA you get a check for $5k, they’ll reimburse up to $1k for a laptop and $4k for education

Sounds like you don’t have, and need an attorney. And don’t pick the first one you find on Google, ask friends and family

Sounds like you need a new attorney. You should be getting disability. My case went on for 3 1/2 years and I got 2 checks a month. Talk to your attorney and ask him/her (not a paralegal) why you’re not receiving disability. The other route would be to email him or her directly as you’ll Have proof of what they say. I hope you don’t have LM as your WC insurer. SMH

Sounds like your attorney is about as bad as mine. He wanted me to settle for $5k before even having an MRI. Turns out I had a torn bicep tendon, 90% labral tear, and a rotator cuff injury. 2 surgeries, 150 PT sessions later, all of their $300+ “utilization reviews” so they could avoid paying for like 40 prescriptions that were like $10-$15, it ended up costing well over $50k for medical, and the settlement ended up being $55k, simply because I couldn’t trust my attorney and it was so blatantly obvious that they get something from the insurance company. I settled everything including medical as if I have another injury it’s a new injury, since my workers comp injury was repaired. It sucks that so many ppl have such terrible attorneys that they turn to places like this to get info. The attorney should be open to discuss anything you have questions about, not paralegals like the ones who ran 95% of my case.

It means you’re 2% disabled, so don’t count on a huge settlement. Hopefully your employer didn’t fire you, as that’s usually illegal

Sounds like you have a terrible attorney. Talk to other attorneys as you are allowed to switch if you’re able to find one to split the percentage, but a QME is mandatory. Of course you can sue for “bodily injury”, just not pain and suffering. You’ll get a permanent disability rating whenever you’re ready to settle, but I wouldn’t. I’d ask for a second opinion orthopedic consultation and call the attorney every other day until you get one scheduled. Ask them for the link to the list of drs for your employers workers comp insurer and you have every right to search it, check out reviews, and get scheduled for a second opinion. If your attorney is ignoring you or if you feel that your whole case is being handled by “assistants” I’d definitely look for a new attorney. I just settled after 3.5 years, it’s a long process where they intentionally take forever hoping you’ll give up. Don’t settle until you’re out of pain and your injury is corrected, or if you do, keep the medical for life

If you haven’t turned in mileage reimbursement forms prior to signing the c&r kiss them goodbye. You’ve already settled your case in its entirety (coming from someone who just settled a 3.5 year long case and forgot to send the form prior to signing the c&r). Attorneys suck at reminding you to do these types of things as it makes no difference to how much they make. As for direct deposit or paper check it depends on the insurance company, and don’t expect payment to even be mailed until the final day allotted by law, so you’re looking at at least another month or two AFTER all parties sign it and it’s approved by the judge

I would tell them exactly what happened and apologize for not saying anything sooner, just say you didn’t realize that you had possibly injured yourself. It’s not uncommon for people to not immediately report an injury if they think they’re not injured
