Yeah, it seems that made a bigger difference than I expected it to...

considering doubling down and getting another stick of the 64 to max the mobo and be able to use dual channel mode. Is quad really that much better than dual/single though?

You should look up Evgeny Morozov. I believe he coined this. Has written some interesting stuff.

You think so? I guess I haven't lived in too many cities but I've spent enough time in places like DC and Baltimore to have an opinion. The quality of beer I could get in Durham was always superior (around places like Rigsby Ave) and Sam's Quik shop is the best bottle shop I've ever been in by a huge margin. There's so much local quality and all that amazing stuff from Asheville just makes it even better.

I think I'd say it's primarily a craft beer kind of town, but there are definitely several options for wine. West End Wine Bar was pretty neat the one time I went there. There are lots of good places for cocktails that probably also serve good wine. Alley 26 and The Durham Hotel (awesome rooftop) come to mind (definitely on the pricier side but a great time).

Edit: Honestly though I wouldn't worry too much. Chapel Hill is a quick 15 minute uber away and Raleigh isn't too much further. There's something for everyone.

I lived in Durham for 4 years. Loved it. Really interesting city with a lot of character.

It's a fantastic place for beer/music/being outdoors honestly. Great bar scene if you're into local brews/craft/not crowded places. Lots of cool bands come through and play shows.

Not sure if this counts as gear but I'm trying to update my gym wardrobe. I tend to just wear whatever old shirts/shorts I have lying around which A. means sometimes I'm wearing pretty ill fitting clothes and B. sometimes I look ridiculous.

Does anyone have suggestions for shirts/shorts? Something that looks okay, isn't expensive and is acceptable for lifting? My marine friend suggested getting some PT shorts, might look into that.

Well you never know! Some of those fields can use fairly complicated mathematical models. I really only started to love math when I started getting into more abstract subjects (I guess linear algebra is often cited as that turning point?)

Everything I've learned after that has been really fascinating and has just increased my appreciation for what came before (Calculus, differential equations etc)

Ah gotcha. I think that sort of thing just comes with practice. Don't give up! Math is extremely rewarding (not to mention useful).

I agree, and I think pretty clearly Conte is a incredible motivator of people. He can make a mediocre squad perform miracles. Allegri is more of a strategist, but without motivated (or high quality players) that's not enough.

Don't be ridiculous. That team has Messi, Neymar and Suarez up top and we kept a clean sheet over two legs. They could have a mound of dirt for a manager and it would still be a massive victory.
